I'd like that, and it would absolutely make certain UFOs feel deadlier in ways other than just how many of your interceptors they can take down.

Is it just me or does the global death toll count seem fairly underwhelming? I mean, it's an alien invasion, there should be more deaths than the Vietnam War after a year or so. Granted, we're not facing the brunt of the invasion force, but still. It doesn't really make the aliens seem very threatening when the majority of deaths are caused by our own nukes.

I go with the general assumption that Xenonauts is a secretive organization that won't pick any really creative names that would stand out too much. So I follow the NATO alphabet for every subsequent base. Alpha Post Beta Post Charlie Post and so on.

The main issue with the armors I see is the basic armor where the differences in portrait and sprite are totally blatant. I don't think you'd need to change the skin color of a sprite so much as to make a sprite that doesn't show too much skin in battle. This helps to make things a hell of a lot more believable for the higher-tier armors. Of course designing an entirely new sprite is a lot of work to be done, but simpler, to coding specific sprites to specific skin colors, maybe.

Our canine friend certainly has a flare for things being a little over the top.
