  1. LVL: INSANE At least Sibillians and Ceasans only fight when cornered, before that they just flee, until the end of map. They will shoot civilians if they happens to be near they retreat path but will never even shoot at us then retreat. They just run. this poses a serie of problems: 1) Main is boredoom. This kind of game is boring. It is boring because its 100% predictable. It is boring because you use ever the same tectic and its a certain win It is boring Because it offer no challenge It is boring because you pass more time chasing alien than fighting them 2) It doesn t fit the idea of the game. When i play the game especially early on when the alien fill unchallenged and goes open chested agaisnt security forces you don t expect them to flee seeing you. (maybe its the ugly uniform...must be further investigated) Aliens have come as conqueror and should act like it (agressively) at least until suffering several defeats Until stable candidate 1 or 2 alien was fun to fight against, suddenly AI was upgraded and thing got awfull, even the "no AI" version was funnyer than the one in place now. Now aliens are more lethals but that because the hit/miss system has been replaced and vasty improved. I never use vehicle they are basically too fragile, tired of seeing them busted by plasma pistols or 2 plasma rifle shots.* They aren t worth the lack of skill raise by soldiers experience even with soldiers dying and being wounded. They aren t worth the investment, they aren t worth 2 soldiers, much less 4 ones space wise. Once they are gone, most of the time, your team is left too weak to overcome the rest of the aliens, or too weak to not suffer losses you can t afford. My squad team is: 2 snipers + medicaid 2 riflemens + medicaid 1 one RPG (AKA bazooka) 1 machine gun 1 Shotgunmen + medicaid 1 Shield + Pistol. Evarybody but RPGer carry grenades of all kind. Not playinguntil further AI modification. Don t want to get pissed at the game.
  2. Ok will proceed. Is there a any experimental build for the public or is this option terminated ?
  3. Well if it isn t mean to a minimum of realism why the freaking timeframe constraint ? Why the bland weapon choice ? Why the reference to existing military stuff ? Necessary ? This is bad game design excuse, sorry. Lore won t change those bad design issues, eventual buyers will see trough the bad attempt of marketing and it will still feel shoddy, if not worse because a part of the consumers will see their intelligence insulted by weak arguments. There s something that count a lot in gaming those days: its called immersion. Next game, if any, will be looked with contempt, same for company name and team involved. This is relatively easy to fix. It is simply related to UFO permanence on a zone reachable to the airforce avaliable, airforce loitering capability and qtt of UFO appearance. Balance those 3 items to fix the problem.

  5. A fighter get 20 to 30 minutes to rearm+refuel once landed. That s a fact. And real fighter carry much more weapons than the xenonauts planes. Now if dev need people to do some research and feed them with info i suppose the community would be pleased to help, at least i would for free, just to see this game going somewhere so "TFTD2" can be done. Just create a section called request for informations.

  8. Here are some points that doesn t make sense at all in the UI and should be reworked. We dont see the status of our air force when on the world map. Cut a lateral of the map and let us see our air force, map doesn t need to be that big for what it is. Fighter status should be clear. RED: Grounded Yellow: Damaged but flyable, with at least one weapon system working /refuelling under 75%/ Green: Undamaged / rearmed / Fuel superior to 75%. NOT UI but: Rearming and refuelling should be done in parallel. A doesnt interfere on B and vice versa. Refuelling too long / Rearming too long. Rearming 2 missiles and gun shouldn t take more than 30mn, refuelling shouldn t take more than an hour, and i m being VERY generous. UI: Managing assets into the transport screen should be on the arming soldier screen bot on a place 3 clicks away.
  9. Vehicle status should be green as soon as we can lauch them.
  10. Understanding that we are a supposed elite force. Understanding that in a 0 to 100 scale 50 in the average untrained, and should be considered unqualified, citizen. In the first 10 troops we get, do not give anybody below 55 Strenght and 55 accuracy. My mother which is 70 has more accuracy than those guys and my father which is 67 is stronger than such guys. Those are the main STATS for any given soldier, being able to carry freaking equipment and shooting his weapon. Such people wouldn t even qualify at the end of basic infantry course. Such stats are for crack addicts not trained soldiers. Thank you. OBS: i know its minor but its SO MINOR this shouldn t be left out of the next upgrade.

(well, they are non combatant after all - Ok if random) 2cd mission: AI flee till end of map, get picked one by one in the process, or cornered and sniped. Normal alien pick up in UFO. (WTF!?) 3rd mission: AI flee till end of map, get picked one by one in the process or cornered and sniped. Normal alien pick up in UFO. (Close game waiting for next iteration.) No need to play this, save wipe out incoming anyway.
  12. After a rocket land and alien threw himself into the fire to attack but dies on the way by fire damage. And dies.
  13. During a combat of a map where you land near a parklot, an alien passed trough the left wall. Can they climb wall ?
  14. "We believe" ? Based on what ? Water screening, Tarot, runes. This doesn t speak military mind at all. And anyway if "we believe" for planes, "we believe" for our soldier also. And soldiers are awfully cheaper Lab rat than planes. No matter how you turn it, its one of those things that doesn t make sense in the settings. Like heavy platting the planes to reduce ammo. Is the cost of greater speed and range would be ammo i would understand, but plating ? Without even testing unplatted ? And the suicidal run mission, no way to flee ? Why ? I hope they are looking into this.
  15. Aligning to cold war status and exliciting it in the map is the best idea i ve ever heard to make COLDWAR appear to matter, it will remain irrelevant, but whatever.
  16. We got tanks now? last time i checked we got a bi .50 calibers as a turret or a 4 RPG launcher. I don t even bother with them way too fragile and once gone you team suffer too much. 8man is the way (for me)

  18. I understand ballistic armor arent fit to dispel heat generated by the Alien plasma weaponry.. only partially. There are many ballistic vest core. Some are kevlar/steel plates, and i dont understand why the steel wouldn t provide some protection even minor, Others are Kevlar/ceramic plates. And there s were the game theory goes to hell, Ceramic are extremely resilient to heat, thats whe they are used on space shuttle (ok its a special ceramic) but ballistic ceramic would provide cover. Now i understand that maybe, this is the case for the first armor. The ballistic ceramic could be less resistent, the steel even less. But even then, i don t understand why we haven t a starter armor, it doesn t make sense. Could be heavy Bulky provide little armor but it would be player choice to use it or not.
  19. - When a shield brearer is killed and he has a poistil in his other hand, the pistol disapear. - When you grab a shield from the ground, it doesn t appear in any of the arms - When the shield is destroyed and the shield bearer is still alive, during round after the shield destruction the shield bearer still get the shield penalties (weight encumberance etc)
  20. Good to know, personnal and team morale fluctuating for injured killed team mates and injured kiled easy hard progression would be nice. As well as an morale boost due to be near a superior.
