  1. I have the same issue that the ufos do not seem like solid objects. When my soldiers get close, they are shot up by reaction fire through the walls of the ufo. But my guys can see the alien (red alien Indicator) too and return fire through the wall. I can even run up into the ufo at will (who needs doors anyways ? ). It's like fighting on plain open ground. Here is a savegame and screenshot with the situation: http://dfiles.eu/files/epv3zvmdx (can't attach here in the forum, get a 404 on "manage attachments") South of the ufo: two soldiers with a wall between them and the ufo East of the ufo: two soldiers in cover behind roadblocks, outside the visual range of the alien Move the southern soldiers north towards the ufo und you get reaction fire. Then I slug it out until either side is dead Oddly, there is still a chance that some shots will bounce of the ufo from outside. The soldiers east of the ufo (and farther away) have a harder time reaching the alien. But it could be that their missed shots are rendered as bounced of the ufo.
  2. Maybe make the end-turn button only react to double clicks =)
  3. Given the track record the industry has with DLCs, it left me quite cynical to that matter. Well, the positive exceptions shine all the more through that Overall, I got the feeling the new Xcom will be a more arcade approach to the genre. Like Ace Combat or Hawx with Falcon or Lock-On on the other side of the spectrum. Both sides are valid. I'll watch how the new Xcom develops (Patch support, mods, etc) and make my choice when it is cheaper. I am patient
  4. I would totally like a fire team system. Something like a little drop down menu on the solider equip screen to put a soldier in a certain color-coded fire team (or none). You could show their team color on the arrange screen wit a little marker (please excuse my paint scribbling): For example, team red are riflemen, yellow are scouts, white the Heavy, etc. No. 7 didn't want to play with the cool kids and did not join a fireteam On the ground you could put the markers above their heads and align it with the selection courser: Sure beats renaming my soldiers to "Mr. Rifle", "Mr. Machinegun" and "Mrs. Kaboom" =)
