  2. I tried editing the aircraft.xml (chinook) in the assets folder and started a new game with the capacity set to 16. However it was still at 8. I have installed Into the Darkness Hellgate. Just wondering why it isnt registering the increased transport capacity? Do I have to edit another file to? Is the mod overiding this?
  3. Is there a morale panic mod out there that lets the alien panic/go beserk if you kill enough of them quickly enough? Like UFO : EU ?
  4. only other mod i was using was the one where it puts better portraits on the soldiers. Also I guess i am using the experimental branch - that might have something to do with it
  5. I would like to see the occasional farmer/hunter with a shotgun/rifle in some of the missions!
  6. Only problem with XCOM are no random maps and base battles which I think is a game breaker.
  7. Can't we assume that the first parts of the research involve sending pictures/reports to the scientists of the artefacts - which they in turn start to draw hypotheses before the artefacts arrive at base?
  8. a psi-training facility to train up your psi-defence or whatever? Diminishing returns on the number of times a soldier can be controlled? psi-defence temporarily for that mission goes up after each successful mind attack? have your own psi capable people be able to defend against psi attacks at their fellow squadmates?

  10. I think it would be great if there was an option to set your soldiers to kneel automatically at the end of their turn if they have the points for it and it doesnt affect reserved shots.
  11. I must say from what I've seen in the demo you guys really have made great strides in resurrecting a good old game. However with the upcoming X-com game I really would like to know what you have planned marketing side? And how you plan to differentiate your product from theirs? (apart from the 2D - 3D).
  12. Oh well guess so! I guess certain soldiers could just get a (pilot) next to their name - and you got to include one of these guys in the transport on the way there a bad mechanic? Or we could just assume they are all flying drone transports! [which isnt to hard to imagine really ] Officers with an influence radius a good idea? or has it been mentioned anywhere else already?
  13. Just a quick suggestion/question Does the game have pilots for the transport craft? I really think they should also be able to participate in the tactical segment of the game as well - sort of like a last resort
