  1. I can run the game but almost all the text is fuzzy. I made some screenshots. I run the game on a 27" iMac in native resolution (2560x1440). Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6970M
  2. The Mac-Build of v.18 is up but unfortunately only for the premium preorder.
  3. Hey Chris, what's about a Mac-build? Is it already in the works or do we have to wait unties v19? Can you open a Mac-Anouncement thread so we don't have to scan through every other announcement-thread to find a clue about the mac-build. Thank you and have a good time with your family.

  5. It's the german Wiesel! It is so small that it fits into a medium transport helicopter (CH-53).
  6. Still only window-mode. This makes playing tactical no fun at all (scrolling is a pain in the a**).

  9. There are up to 3 planes in air-combat. One strategy is to let the UFO tail one of the aircrafts and shoot with the other two.
  10. he never said this should be for human aircrafts only! I like the idea and I like the way Belmakor stated it: first identify the problem then point to a possible solution. This doesn't mean that this is the perfect solution but I don't know a better one right now.
  11. First of all, we shouldn't discuss the possibilities in reality because after all it's a game with UFOs. So even if it's not possible for real missiles to hit explicit part of an enemy spaceship it could be researched and implemented. My intend for the maneuvers: It would be nice to have a choice not to have another tactical mission after the last 10 in just a few ingame minutes or so. There was a discussion about auto-resolving the tactical missions but I prefer to just shoot them to hell instead of just letting the CPU handle my soldiers. But with the maneuvers there would still be the chance that my pilots are not good enough and let the damn UFO crash-land. About the "hit the engines" maneuver: It would make it more difficult for the UFOs to maneuver during flight combat and you could tail the UFO with the bord-cannon and shoot the hell out of it. So the damaged engines would slow the UFO down and make the turn radius higher.

What about having two ways of improving stats: First the training facility: you can train your soldiers between missions: send them to cardio and strength training sessions with expensive personal trainers. You could build a shooting range to train your soldiers accuracy. But this all cost money. Second the field experience: In tactical missions you don't run very often, its more the psychic experience you get. You have seen so many aliens so you don't shake of fear anymore (more bravery). The soldiers learn where to shoot (the alien xy has its heart on the right side not the left) and to hold still even with a terrifying alien in front of them. This could result in better accuracy and maybe a little damage bonus. So get more APs and Strength at the base, and learn Accuracy and Bravery in the field (by shooting aliens, not just running around in circles).
  14. I would love to see more air maneuver for your aircrafts like Force to land Go for destruction Target the engines Also there would be a quick status-check for all your aircraft useful. If you click on the intercept button you have to choose the destination before you can see all the aircraft and their fuel and health status. I would prefer to see the list before choosing a destination because sometimes I just want to see if my aircraft are fully refueled.
