Still waiting for a UFO Defense mod for this game. WHERE IS IT! I sort of didn't like the story telling or story of this game that much. Nor the limited platoon sizes and base limits etc etc..

If someone does mod in grenadelaunchers they need to give the Aliens similar weapons as to balance it out otherwise you can start a mission with 8 grenadiers and just blow the shit out of everything! Atm I believe human grenades should be almost completely useless Vs the tougher aliens

Possible to have more then 4 direction unit textures?

Mostly its the vehicles that look weird when turning, perhaps a small 0.15s delay between each direction change would do. And some vehicle motor moving animations would help. Atm the vehicles look un-lively (for a motorized tank) and change direction in a way that is odd, having wheels animate as they turn would help allot as well. Just my 2 cents. -
At the moment when spotting Aliens inside buildings/UFOs you can't get a decent lock on them due to the render engine forcing roofs to be drawn until a soldier is very close or inside the building/ufo. What I would like to see is IF Aliens are spotted inside a building/UFO by your team then simply moving the cursor over top of that building/UFO tile removes the roof, because you can see inside anyway and why even bother allowing us to shoot at the Aliens inside if we can't see them on screen due to roof being on top! I'm pretty sure this would be easy to implement, tie mouse cursor to trigger remove roof with a small script that checks if Aliens seen by player or not. Otherwise I will haft to look at hacking this game to do it myself because it is very frustrating getting shot by a spotted Alien and not being able to target him because scanning your mouse around reveals no target and your forced to put a soldier in the door just to remove the roof resulting in him being killed due to reaction fire! Maybe this has been suggested before, why isn't this fixed/implemented already I do not know!

Yes its a problem, I can only assume they are not updating things to match ease of use similar to steam due to financial reasons! Ironically if they updated their client to fix all the limits etc they probably generate more customers. Something is definitely going on with the Desura co.

Here is a savegame which crashes near the end. May be related to Tank being destroyed. Its at the beginning so you need to play throu and be sure tank is destroyed by aliens just to be sure. It has crashed for me twice around 2 turns or so after tank has been destroyed. Linky Note: This doesn't appear to be related to the doorway; will keep testing to figure out what might be triggering it.

So I thought I would be cheeky and park my tank in the doorway of the Scout UFO to see the last alien due (since this is only way you can remove ufo roof to see inside). Anyway the Alien broke my tank in the doorway and the next turn resulted in a crash to desktop. Possibly the alien wanted to get outside and decide the only way was to crash the game to desktop? Can only people try this with an alien inside the ufo.

It is from point when I'm almost at the building, you can see the screenshot to how far I got in the texture issue thread. The Aliens did hit the walls sometimes but there were plenty when they went through them without hitting them from VERY far away (UFO entrance) The aliens where NOT on the roof but outside infront of UFO doorway. It appeared to be night mission and I know for a fact that the two at the UFO did not have line of sight but still shot at me anyway (hit my men couple times behind the main building). Screenshot for reference of location.

So I have this snow mission and almost from the start the aliens are shooting me from a LONG way away and through all buildings. I have soldiers behind a building and yet aliens shoot through it without breaking walls or glass. I wonder if this is due to the texture bug reported as many objects have black textures which makes me wonder if those objects are even being registered for Alien firing?
