  1. Vehicles seem to be exploding instant when hit by enemy fire and will vaporize ...any Xenonauts within 4 squares from full hp in Warden. I don't remember them quite so spicy in previous builds. Thanks
  2. Actually my 5.0 save loaded just fine in 5.2 surprisingly. Though the permanently drained reflex stats are reduced. Will let me progress and try some more for a bit without redoing yesterday. Thanks
  3. Does anyone know of a save download or a way to change save versions so that we don't have to replay the early game every time we update? I would like to try some of the later game content but find that by the time i have progressed passed early game, there is a version revision and my save is no-longer compliant. I have played through the early game almost a dozen times but rarely get to the later content before update? Thanks
  4. Yeah i advanced the game a bit farther and realized i had completely misunderstood the doomsday mechanic. I had assumed it was the enemy without not the enemy WITHIN. I actually really like the system now, i just feel there needs to be some sort of explanation that it represents COVERT alien activity and may change when the war goes from cold to hot. Thanks
  5. On the cleaner data gathering mission you will see the reinforcements arrive, but on your turns they don't actually exist. They can be hit with reaction fire on their turns but are graphically invisible. Thanks
  6. If nothing else maybe the doom clock should start when the invasion starts. It was quite funny loosing to the invasion ....30 days before the invasion begins. This would also have the effect of making the early game a bit easier by allowing players to build a better infrastructure before the invasion. (unless 5.0 has changed more then i have experienced so far in earlier versions the early game is by far the hardest ) Also it would provide a distinct feeling of "Things just got real" when you realize not only has the full invasion started ...it's reinforced by knowing ...your on the edge of doom. Incidentally i have reloaded and burned points on reduction and it's playable ...just feels awkward to me. Thanks for your hard work on this game.

So yeah having completed all three missions and shot down two probes got a game over on day 23 with the doomsday clock (milestone 5) 26 aliens killed 1 soldier lost... +6 doomclock ...should i have to use all points on clock reduction now? 5 days worth of point 50 points would get me 35 reduction ...so i would have about 11 or 12 points out of every 6 days? i guess that works mathematically. But It just feels weird early game.
  8. Turns out it doesn't actually matter anymore. Alien Electronics now apparently comes from Observer class ships either shot down or landed. That's what i get for using out of date strats.
  9. I think you missed the part about LANDING. I had shot down dozens of UFO's but you need a specific item for research that you only get from a LANDED ufo. That said i managed to get one on day 31 in this game so...i just don't know ...i was at day 180 in one game, and past 90 in several others before i encountered a landing.
  10. Unless i am missing something there is no reason to EVER run soldier below 100% Would it not be reasonable for there to be a counter point to the running over weight time unit loss? For example if below the 80% (can't increase str anymore) you gained points to your Reaction or Time unit stats. As it is i'm just loading my guys down with random stuff they won't even use because it is both the only way to train their Strength and it's mechanically disadvantageous not to.
  11. In several of my playthroughs i've gone a VERY long time before getting my first UFO landing. Is this random or time gated? Am i just feeling impatient because i know i NEED them. it almost makes me want to just let the ufo's fly around un-intercepted because I want one to land. Maybe instead of requiring a landed UFO you could add a damaged component that could be reverse engineered if you recover a set number of them for the same effect? Thanks
  12. I have had 3 random CTD loading into missions in 2.08d, reloading last save and going on the missions they load and function fine. I have had it on Cleaner Data, Cleaner HQ and an Abduction mission.

  14. Ahh Sorry, then. In that case official Wiki has a mistake listing the mission as lowering regional panic by 10. Thanks.
  15. I have destroyed 2 alien bases and not had an reduction in those regions panic. One thing to note is both were just outside of my radar zone.
