  1. I think the intention is to make players have both lasers and mag to deal with different enemy types but I don't see it incentivized enough in the current build to justify using both. Laser's are just too good with their accuracy buff. Maybe make the accelerated weaponry hit harder? Not sure what the balance could be done here. I am also noticing enemies on Soldier have an almost never fail to hit chance mainly the Caesans or Psyon's my mind is drawing a blank. Their pistols are dead eye accurate in the opening even behind cover. I also noticed compared to the previous game crouching behind cover doesn't seem to give you the same cover effect it had in the prior game though I am not sure if this is intentional. Either way it is shaping up quite well from when you granted me the playtest!

Game has been consistently hung up on this section of the ground combat mission, I've tried it multiple ways of going up the teleporter but everytime I scroll down to the lower level of the UFO the game will crash auto_groundcombat_turn_9_start-301.json output.log output.log_1.8043688888d63fb11e4c722ddb2aa710

  8. Hey Chris, noticed that my advanced laser weaponry is not consuming ammo. I've laid waste to plenty of aliens here but do not have any one that is missing a single blast. Here is the entirety of the turns in the event it is somewhere in the midst of these. Normal difficulty panic levels rises extremely quickly almost to the point of being constantly about to fall into panic, I've had this happen on 3 playthroughs so far where on day 60 I am about to lose three nations on the next turn. This is after aggressively taking out every UFO I have access to in the EUR, AFR and western SOV. Makes the strategic layer almost impossible to break through without dumb luck

After having some playtime under my belt of the playtest and getting my hands on a good deal of the firearms presented to us throughout the game, I wanted to ask a couple questions and hopefully get an answer for myself and anyone else in the future that may come looking for it ! Will there be changes to the current sound effects of all current weapons in game? I personally find the gauss weapons that I imagined sounding a bit beefier then they currently are lackluster in the audio department. Love the game so far but was curious if there would be any changes on the sound front ! Thank you!

Got another crash that I've been able to repeat twice here Chris, I send my MARS rover up the teleporter and whenever I attract the fire of the Metarch or the Brute, I will get a the red debug error shooting across my screen at the bottom left saying something along the lines of floor. I assume this is because I scroll down right after they fire to select my next Xenonaut.   12. Heya Chris! Got another odd one for ya, I have just gotten out of a alien base mission here and just finished research on laser vehicle weapons. After telling my engineers to immediately start research on Gauss Vehicle weapons, it will then CTD. For some reason the Auto-save I have of the second time is not showing up, but I have had it crash twice upon starting up my save and repeating it again output.log auto_strategy_after_combat-74.json
  13. Appreciated Chris! I've managed to get through this by moving my unit inside, forcing the wraith to come out in the open and shoot my one soldier then clear out the rest of the map. Smooth sailing since then. Thank you!

  15. I have a Wraith that will throw a grenade at my poor Xenonaut and blow him up with a plasma grenade taking out a large portion of the wall near him. This however forces the game to CTD, I've been able to repeat this about 2 times.   16. I want to add on that I have this issue as well, should also note that you are unable to build the alloy plating aswell only the previous item after research
  17. I am interested in playing the playtest here Chris, fell in love with Xenonauts 1. Would love to contribute to the reports!
