  1. Talent Scout Missions Drop your troops in the middle of a city and start chasing down civilians with stun rods. The ones that are most difficult to catch you keep, haul them back to base and indoctrinate them to your cause! Too much? =p
  2. Hah, I almost suggested red. But figured that should be reserved for base defenses or something. =)
  3. Wow, I like this setup. More immersive, feels like you are inside your base. The advise option and viewing all bases at the same time is great. My only suggestion at this point is the make the "commence project" button something other than black and make it a bit bigger. It is a commence button, make it green or something. It just needs to stand out a bit more.
  4. Single enemy ships never have a chance. You see which aircraft the enemy is tracking. Send that one off in one direction and come around behind with your other aircraft. It works every time and after taking out an arbitrary number of ships this way it doesn't feel very interesting any more. Obviously you have the upper hand in a 2 on 1 battle. It is just that the single enemy ships don't seem worth it to have the whole air battle radar thing popup, it doesn't really contribute anything to the game experience. Radar pops up, oh single ship again, click one fighter one direction, click one fighter the opposite to flank, win. Currently the single enemy battles don't add anything to the experience for me. Now the corvette ships with multiple fighters, I haven't had any luck besting those with only 2 fighters.

  6. Is it also a known bug to generate buildings and doors against the edge of the map so you can't use them?
  7. Oops, I mean V8.5. 2. Maybe if the top of the ship was more visible (I didn't have a good view of the higher levels) or some shadowing. It was just confusing to look at. I'll see if I can make better sense of it and maybe have a few more suggestions in this area. 3. Just a little quick menu. An example would be: Right click show 3 translucent icons on one side of the unit. Kneel/Stand toggle, Fire Mode Toggle, Inventory. I know hot keys are there. It would just be another option and a nice touch. If more icons were needed they could appears on both sides of the unit, a circle, or some radial layout. 4. Looking forward to see what they have up their sleeves. =)
  8. Ground Combat I find it difficult to move or select guys right next to a wall opposite of the camera angle. This feels really clunky. I find the intersection of alien ships and terrain is quite confusing. I can't really tell if it is landed, crashed, where the terrain stop and where the ship begins. Right click quick menu your men would be handy. The single / auto fire mode icons are tiny. How about just changing fire mode when I click the big gun graphic?
