  1. I think most people knew why there was radio silence, becouse you guys were working yer arses off. thanx for the update! looking forward to sunday afternoon. and Sulphy, I just about nocked my monitor off the table swatting at yer BUG!!
  2. did we have an update im not aware of beyond v9? ive taken out hundreds of scouts before i was even in range of my guns. ive only played v9 and i use 3 sidewinders.
  3. Matthew. yes it still happens in v9 but after i did the noncombatant text replace i had no more problems.

Wow! nice job on that AD. this reminded me about a cartoonist that i knew years ago that told me about a facial feature system he had learned. if you could learn this system you could draw anyones face with just a glance. he said there are only so many types of each feature of any face. *7 diff. noses, 5 diff. chins, 9 diff. eyes and so on* from those numbers you can create any face. this guy would look out into a croud and in 4 minutes hand me a picture that i could actually pick that person out of the crowd with, and once he started drawing he never looked back at the person. seems like that would be an easy way to do faces for a game. just create those basic features then paste them together. which is kind of what you are doing AD. You get an A+++ the guy didnt even have to remember what someone looked like, all he saw was 3/6/4/1/8/2 and could draw them perfectly.
  5. yea i could see base damage being a critical issue if you let it get out of hand. cant use interceptors until hanger is repaired. cant manufacture or research etc. etc.
  6. Sorry i guess i should have made myself more clear. i was just asking if i was remembering right. but no i didnt meen it would be unrepairable but could cost you time to repair. if the resesarch building got damaged you would lose time in research while it was repaired.
  7. yep. for my first 3 weeks or so on the forums auto sign in worked every time but lately i have to resign in every time. also get the error 404 mesage a lot. i think it all started when the website got injected. before that it was all working great. also noticed my forum exp. doesnt update my achievements. all of these are very minor and really dont meen much accept the error 404 is very annoying.
  8. dont i recall something about damage in base defense being perminent? so you wouldnt want to use AOE weapons in base defense?

More of my opinion. start the game with 3 f17s, play until the first corvett is seen by radar."sir! this one is big, never seen anything like this. i dont think our current fighters have the firepower to bring one of these down with any reliability" pop up a research screen to research not the new tech. of a fighter but to research what fighters available on earth could be best fitted with the biggest weapons to fight them. could be a 1 day research for 10 scientists, then, after the research is done make the mig available to buy/build. buy would be best. when the mig gets to the base it has the normal rearming and fueling time in base before it can be used. first research at the beginning of the game could be extended radar range, wouldnt need to be much. or. it could be better,more reliable radar penetration.*same range but better chance of detection* and again it wouldnt have to be much of a gain. "sir! we are getting eye witness reports of ufos planetwide but we seem to only get radar pings on aproximately 20% of them" and i guess this makes my 4 cents worth.

  14. oh. no you dont capture the ship whole. it is broken down into relevant parts and they should apear in your stores tab in your base. yes 2 compartments for scouts. it should tell you what parts you recover from the ufo such as alien power supply in the popup screen after the battle.

  16. either kill all the aliens in the map or place at leaste 1 soldier in every compartment of the ufo and leave them there for 5 turns
  17. normally i get 10 out of 10 scouts crash landed with 3 sidewinders.
  18. if you bring a mig to a scout fight its likely it will get damaged becouse it has no roll ability. 2 f17s is best option becouse they pack 4 sidewinders in total and it only takes 3 to down a scout, plus the roll ability makes them ideal.
  19. currently the corvett looks like a yellow barn or something close to that. its new look will be in game soon im sure.
