Go to the caesan\noncombatant\weapon\weapon.AlienPlasmaPistol directory and find the file soldier_spectre.xml This file you edit in e.g. Notepad There are alot of lines, so the fastest way is to "Search and Replace" (ctrl+H on my computer) Find: caesan/weapon Replace with: caesan/noncombatant/weapon Did that help?

By accident I shot the power generator (at least that's what I think it is) and it blew up in my face! All fine and a good laugh, but immidiately I got a CTD - "Xenonauts.exe stopped working" error message from Windows 7 64 bit. I loaded the autosave and retried the mission. This is completely repeatable on my computer. I've attached a savegame where you just need to take soldier number 5 and order him to autofire at the alien behind the power gen. He will then hit the power gen which explodes, the explosion and fire/smoke effects happen and a second or so later we have a CTD. I also had the crash often, but not after doing this. The fix seems to work! Thanks alot! As you said, it also seems to have fixed my invisible alien bug!

Hi everyone! Can't believe I only found this after rummaging about on Firaxis' X-Com forums! I was really into the original X-Com series and was currently playing UFO Alien Invasion (I recommend you check it out) - but now that will have to give way for Xenonauhts!

Agreed, would become annoying. We'll know the ins and outs of every type of alien ship, even in our sleep, soon enough.

If it wasn't for Firaxis' game, then I wouldn't have discovered Xenonauts any time soon. 5 minutes after looking at Xenonauts website, I preordered... I'll definitely try Firaxis' game at some point (I *have* to see the antfarm base in action), but this sounds much more like the original. True to the tactics and no "dumbed down" inventory. I could go on, but just wanted to say, Firaxis bought me here, so probably more people will come to enjoy Xenonauts because of Firaxis.
