  1. for airstrikes it would be neet if you could only get them after gaining air superiority over a site(your fighters drive off or kill any supporting ufos) if you fail you could end up with the enemy haveing air support or neutral skies if your fighters forced the enemy to withdraw due to damage . the strikes them selves should have a delay, say you designate a strike on your turn it will happen ether at the end of the enemy turn or half way through there turn(after they move half there forces) the strike can be ether missiles (if the aircraft have any left) or strafeing with there guns.
  2. how about a dial a yeild warhead for a missile? maybe even diffrent blast shapes?
  3. the wire would let you guide the rocket... maybe only lets you drop a waypoint in a cone infront of your last waypoint?
  4. a wire guided missile might be fun? take a turn too tight or get to close to a object and you break the wire a blaster bomb like weapon could also be limited to 2 or 3 waypoints more like a top attack at missile. a shaped blast could balance it as well a fan shaped explosion comming from the impact point insted of a wide area crader like the xcom one.
  5. yeh common medals should not have much or any bonus. woops thought one of the posts ahead of me was behind me
  6. there should be a few common ones , combat badge, wounded badge, one for being the first through the door on a ufo, one for capturing a ufo, then have the more rare medals getting a silver or bronze star for killing 4 or 5 in one mission, getting a medal of honor or eqiv for killing 10 or more or takeing 5 down with the stun stick or something
  7. have it drain some ap and moral , could also force an affected target to croutch or go prone. edit (have it sap ap or force takeing cover if the target fails a moral check)
  8. i was thinking it would be handy for the mg hunter as it seems to be a bit over kill to use all those bullets on one target.with sweeping it could engage a few close together targets or if supression is added pinn them inplace for the squad.
  9. i was wondering if it would be possible to allow large automatic weapons like the tank and inf mg to sweep a selected area? say by seting 2 points on the screen before firing to mark the target area. could be usefull if covering fire has any use or if bullets can pen buildings. to balance it the area that can be sweeped could be limited , the squad mg gunner can only cover a 3 or 4 block area while the hunters mg could sweep 10 or so.
  10. i was wondering if medals could be added to the game? could be based on preformance like ranks are or player controled. they could give the recever a small moral boost or just be a way of keeping score.
