podbelski
hey guys, I have an impression the alenium and alloys amount recovered from GC does not match well to the parameters recoverAlienium and recoverAlienAlloys. Eg carrier's recoverAlienAlloys is set to 46 but I constantly receive more than 70 of them is there some hidden/hardcoded modifier that affects the game? I'm going to adjust these values and want to have a clear understanding how does this thing work
podbelski
... looks like 25 is always added to the alloys amount of the carrier (and 9 for the alenium) atm I don't have savegames to check other ufo types...

kabill
As drages has indicated, the resources received from a UFO include certain props as well. Using a unmodded game, a set amount is contained in the UFO datacore (which cannot be destroyed and is the minimum you will receive) and the rest is contained in props like UFO weapons, engines and power supply. If you're using Fire in the Hole, the set amount is contained in the UFO hull instead (it makes no difference it being there, but made it easier to produce the UFOs). Note as well that the amount gained for crashes and landings is different (crashes don't get many/any 'free' resources and most are held in destructible props). podbelski
I was talking about \tiles\ufo\carrier\HBP_Carrier_Hull_01_Rear_spectre.xml, and the like files for other UFO types thanks for the point, now I see some of the "props" also has recoverAlienium/recoverAlienAlloys attributes attached to them, that's where these "additional" resources come from
