Gas zombified soldiers

One of our soldier is zombified. I managed to gas him together with the reaper. When the mission ended, he is still alive! Did anyone encounter this as well? If it is a bug, please dont fix it since it can be considered a feature to save lifes.

The poor little baby reaper obviously can't survive the gas even though it is not enough to harm the fully developed creatures.

Reapers can be gassed like most aliens. I usually try to wound them and then throw 3-4 gas grenades.

Yes but they are only stunned, not killed like the ones affecting the friendly units as mentioned by the OP.

I wasn't really classing temporary loss of conciousness as harm although I probably should have.

Maybe change that to 'not enough to permanently harm the fully developed creatures'.

I once had a soldier getting zombified and shot him to pieces and he still survived. I found it a wee bit a stretch that the poor fella returned to combat duty though.

Might be a nice flavour to have a KIA and crippled aka too wounded to return to duty option.

That actually sounds like it works well even though it is unintentional.

Reapers can sometimes come out of nowhere so having an option to save a prized trooper sounds like a good thing.

Perhaps the weak neurotoxin is too much for the developing reaper.
