tycho
It doesn't happen all the time but I have a save where it occurs repeatedly in the next combat that launches between a small scout and a foxtrot. The foxtrot is trailing the small scout at the beginning. I tap the space bar to unpause and the scout begins to turn. The mig is left to automatically determine its heading. The screen goes blank and the system locks as soon as the scout's heading exceeds 90 degrees. If I set the mig's heading to proceed in a straight line beyond the scout, the issue does not occur. http://www.mediafire.com/download/r48b72b81eubdiy/2013-11-21_21.35.52.sav Edited November 22, 2013 by tycho new information
Gorlom
The devs are usually very appriciative of savefiles so please do post a dropbox-, mediafire- or filehostsiteofyourchoice-link with the savefile. (attachments dont really work on the forum for some reason)
tycho
done. At least now I know the cause, I can set manual waypoints for each interceptor until the target has completly reversed course. I was getting this sometimes two or three times a night. tycho
I've seen this happen frequently enough to get a better idea of when it happens: It seem to depend on the number of planes involved in the interception. I rarely get it if there are three, somewhat if there are two, much more if there is only one. It seems to have something to do with the way the plane diagrams on the right side are being updated. Sometimes I will get the crash after I have clicked on something there.
tycho
It turns out the definite problem is that my video card got overheated and is slowly dying. Air combat stresses it just enough to reveal the fault.
