kuroi_neko Posted November 10, 2012 Share Posted November 10, 2012 (edited) I tried this 3 times. I'm getting alien heavy fighters for the first time. When I save a game with these present on the geoscape, reloading the save causes a freeze. I reloaded a previous save and did a few other save before the heavy appeared, with no problem. As soon as the heavy is here, a new save will freeze on reload. Also, after the heavy fighter is downed, saving game works again. bigredsomething Posted November 13, 2012 Share Posted November 13, 2012 i am running into this as well [17.1]. previously haven't had any freezing or crashes in the Geoscape. I have a save game that always loads successfully, but then after two heavy fighters pop up, any saves created while the heavy fighters are in the geoscape will not load, whether the loading is tried from an active game, from the start menu, or even if you quit the game without any crashes / freezes and then restart and reload. I have yet to get around this bug (didnt' associate it with the heavy fighters). I'll try to clear them and see if saving works again. SSGGeezer Posted November 15, 2012 Share Posted November 15, 2012 On my XP version, I get a CTD if I try to load any save with alien craft flying anywhere in the geoscape.
