V15.1 new to forum and game :) but not Xcom CTD real fast!

I started with 14 and had issues when it would crash during aliens turn. I then installed Desura got 15.1 now it crashes when I start a mission my first one. Base is in America.

When I load a save I made just before mission it won't start time calculating. I can't get time to start progressing so I can enter battle. The only other interesting point is that I do have my three ships chasing down a different UFO when I am trying to start the mission also.

Not had much luck at all so far playing the game.

Some system specs...

Intel i7-930

12 Gig of ram

GTX 480 video card.

If anything else is needed please let me know!

I will try and about any specifics needed tomorrow. It is very late here and I spent too much time playing Demo of Xcom: Enemy Unknown

Welcome vyrank, and make sure you've tried the Editor on the XCOM: EU demo as I've posted in the appropriate thread elsewhere, to give you that real XCOM feel!

Someone much more knowledgeable will (hopefully) provide advice around your issue here.

There's a workaround for the stuck time issue when loading a saved game:

1) Open Xenonauts

2) Launch a new game

3) After having positioned the first base, press Esc and click Load Game

4) Select the previously saved game, it should be unpaused now.

A bit unpractical, but it allows you to play until we fix it! (seems like the issue is just when you load a game from the main menu)

As for the crash, you should install the hot fix Giovanni posted:
