Normally, it's an issue with Desura, not the file. the MFC is what is stored on Desura, and is downloaded to your computer. During the process, if there is a server timeout, or checksum error, you will see a message about a MFC Error. Sometimes, retrying will fix it. I've had pretty good luck with Xenonauts, but not with other games. Xenonauts does have a lot of files.

Sadly, I'm not certain what can be done to fix it. I don't believe there is anything GoldHawk can do to avoid this, as I believe the problem is with Desura.
