iamkyon
The screengrab below depicts a situation in which Corporal Murray and the space invader have stayed put for two consecutive turns, attempting to trade shots through objects blocking the trajectory. No bipeds were harmed during the shootout. All the damage done to the cubiform whatchamacallit in the square adjacent to Murray results from his reaction fire, and the sniper in the upper-right corner has no visual of the Caesan. Edited to add: Murray's chance-to-hit is calculated as being zero. Edited November 19, 2011 by iamkyon
Sathra
That is kind of odd. But all of the shots were blocked by the tan box-thing/s?
iamkyon
Yes, and the damaged ground tile has been scorched by a plasma bolt.
ehmkinator
In a vaguely related topic, I had a .50 cal armed Hunter shoot out a brick wall in a factory - like, completely destroyed a section making an impromptu door. Is this supposed to be able to happen?
Sathra
@iamkyon: Good to know, those boxes didn't always block shots before. So its just a LOS blocking problem. @ehmkinator: Yeah, pretty much. The game can't really have partially destroyed stuff due to using sprites, and the Ferret MG is pretty powerful, so can damage and destroy a wall in a single burst pretty easily. Might need balancing a bit though.
