Plasma Caster Reload Issues

While in ground combat, my characters (wearing predator armor) sometimes have trouble reloading their plasma castor - the work-around is to have the character drop the plasma caster, have another character pick it up and reload it; plenty of time units available

9 years later but yes i have this issue and it's extremely annoying.  Any help would be greatly appreciated
