How to manufacture plasma rifle ?

I have researched the tech long time ago but my engineers still can not make it ??

Also my storeroom is empty, but I have looted several plasma rifles, pistols etc...Where are they ?

Did you just research some alien plasma weapons, or have you researched the "plasma weaponry" tech? Xenonauts isn't like the OG, in that you don't just need to research the alien weapons to be able to build and use them. You need to research a few alien weapons first, develop laser technology, then research some more plasma weapons to eventually unlock plasma weapons of your own.

Also, the alien weapons you recover after a ground mission are automatically sold off as you can't use them.
