Despite the fact that fighters and heavy fighters are automatically destroyed after combat, it would be nice to recover a small amount of alloy + alenium from recovering the hull. I'm at a point in the game now where I need to construct thing and having 5 or so alloys from a fighter could make the difference between having that extra suit of wolf armor in the next mission or not. Just something for discussion and consideration. -K

As we all know, alien power cores and reactors are nice finds, because they're worth a pretty solid chunk of money. But only the singularity core has an actual purpose (or 2, if we actually have to build those torpedoes as described in the xenopedia). Will we eventually need the other power sources to build lower tier aircraft, or will they forever be free money?

Its a little bit odd, i but dont get any electronics from the wreckages. I´m now in the fourth month, so it is getting a really hard to maintain air superority with only F17 and MIGs. Does anyone have a clue? Which ufos have electronics onboard? Or maybe a little hint how i get the better planes (maybe via pm) .

First of all: Hi everyone and thumbs up for the creation of this game! To my question: I noticed, that at the end of a mission, alien corpses and weapons are being looted automatically. Ammo clips however, seem to be in need of being picked up manually. Can someone please confirm, that in order to loot everything from the battlefield, I have to pick up certain items manually, by standing over the alien corpses with my soldiers? If so, to which items does this apply? Thanks.

I tried starting three games of Xenonauts, and AFAICT it seems that in 9.0 starting plasma rifle research is impossible. Seems to me that every time I complete a mission the game decides that I already have a plasma rifle, sells them all. Also the game claims in the "end mission" screen that plasma pistol has been sent to research even after the research for it has been completed. Am I missing something? It occured to me that there might be some prerequisites I need to meet before being able to get plasma rifle research and the game might be just selling them before they are met. Edit: I realized my wording might be confusing. Clarification: I don't get a plasma rifle, even not from the first mission ever to have one in it.
