Yes that could be the case. I downed a second cruiser now and the same thing happened when trying to do a ground mission. Wonder if the same thing will happen if with a new game on 22.7. I don't know if anyone come that far yet?
Edit: I shot down a cruiser in Scandinavia, arctic map, and ground combat loaded properly.
Edit: Then it crashed after a few turns when the aliens were teleporting.

It's a savegame from 22.6. I have played a few hours on this save with no problems until I downed my first cruiser. I could be because it's a savegame. I will report if it happens again.

The title says it all really. Shot down a Cruiser in South America, sent Shrike there to finish them off, but the game crashed in the middle of loading the ground combat.

Same problem here. I'm in a large UFO and have used up all my grenades. The 0% to hit goes for aliens as well so they can't kill my men either. And those suckers doesn't wanna follow me outside, so I guess I need to abandom the mission.

I have also seen this with civilians walking into a stun gas cloud. It doesn't make sense that they should leave a pool of blood when stunned (except if they hit their head real bad when falling )

For me this is true only when there is no line of sight to the point where I want to throw the grenade.

The fact that aliens see my squad from a long distance, but my squad needs to be within 10 or so tiles to see the aliens is driving me crazy. In one mission 4 of my guys were killed trying to get in a viewing distance of an alien, but they were all killed before that.
Night missions are the worst.

Started a new game on V22e6. A Corvette crash site mission went wrong due to LOS issues (most of my crew was killed by aliens I never saw). So I decided to start the mission again from the autosave generated at mission start. Every time I try to load this save game I instantly get a CTD.

The alien LOS seems to be messed up a bit. So far I have only done a few scout ground missions, but I get fired upon long before I can spot the aliens. I counted 12 steps from where I was shot before i got the icon that my soldier could see the alien, but it still wasn't visible on screen. Is this intended?
Edit: There were no obstacles between me and the alien.

Just having a look at this now. The crashes shouldn't be happening any more if you upgrade to V22 Experimental 5 - the mission is playing out fine for me in the new build.
Ok. I still have this problem in V22e5. Both when starting the save added above and when starting the mission from the beginning from the autosave. I can try starting a new game and see if it happens afain when I come to this part of the game. Did you try the save and just press "End turn" as soon as it had loaded?
Edit: Tried the savegame on a different PC with a fresh install of V22e5, and it crashes there too.

I still have trouble in terror attacks with Reapers. As soon as they attack the game crashes.
There is a bug report from v22b3 with this issue, and it was thought to be a memory overflow issue, but I think it's something else.

Plz follow the procedure of DEP deactivate in
V22 EXP BUILD 2 RELEASE.
This kind of crash is caused by memory overflow
I have deactivated DEP for Xenonauts but I get a CTD every time Reapers are attacking. I see the animation and hear its scream just before it happens. I run V22b4.
I have attached a save game. When clicking "End Turn" one of the Reapers runs into a house attacking a civilian, then the game crashes.

This has been happening at least since 22.5. This is quite random, I can play several missions where it doesn't happen, so it may be difficult to solve.
