  1. three words 'Xenonauts-Rogue like' lol, just kidding. I much prefer the 2d stlye art myself, but I also realize it is a dying art much like Cel animation. Cel Shaded 3d graphics might work almost as well, but man, its disappointing. Looking forward to what this turns into. Please not the same time period though. We did the 60's/70's, Lets do the 80's now. Cell phones as big as bricks baby!
  2. Would love another Xenonauts game. My thoughts I completely disagree with going 3d. What I would like to see more varied battles. More unique scripted fights, some 'boss' type battles with unique characters. We fall in love with our soldiers but every enemy they face is just another faceless alien. It would also be great to include some aliens as allies. If our world is suddenly thrown into galactic politics by an aggressor surely they are not the only government out there. It would be interesting if countries could ally with the invaders and Xenonauts could ally with a smaller group of aliens in opposition to the invaders. I would also like to see some command and control on the ground. There are no 'leaders' really on any of the missions, make it a specialized role with unique mechanics. I would also like close combat to be a thing. Once in close combat you should not be allowed to disengage until one side is down. The scout class should really be a ninja class with stealth and close combat perks. Please no unique abilities, just passive perks for different soldiers. THanks for reading and good luck!
  3. Ok I she came back at 52% health. When I looked at my inventory her gun in stuff was there so I guess they always disappear until back to 50% health... I never noticed. Sorry!
  4. I finish my first base assault with 7 of 8 soldiers left, but when I look at my troop roster 1 soldier that survived is missing. She was the only one with low health and should have been unassigned automatically on return, but shes just gone. I tried reloading the last autosave after winning the mission but same outcome. I saved the game about halfway through the mission, I will try redoing that part next. (edit)- this did not work either, this time I finished with all 8 but she is still missing when I return to base. I will completely retry the mission next.
  5. I have put about 50 hours into the V21 stable now on my first play through on normal. I just encountered and cleared my first battle ship and dealt with the very annoying mind control/dread problems. I dont know who is doing the mind control though. In the battle ship I captured an invisible alien commander, I wasn't sure if it was a bug or if he is supposed to be invisible... is he the mind control guy? My second battle against the enemy (base assault) where they can mind control is when I quit. It was my experienced team and between the mind control, dread, and lizard guys running around every other corner suicide-grenading me I couldn't make much head way. I tried putting away my weapons, running through normally, rushing, having my brave soldiers leave their guns out and other put thiers away. nothing seemed to work, It was a very frustrating experience, especially with my experienced team whos veterancy seemed only to make them better at killing each other. I hope the mind control is limited to line of sight or its harder to mind control veteran in the future versions because this wasn't very fun to me. Also it would be cool if the dread increased the closer you got to the mind control alien. Besides that I found the game completely engaging and one of the best strategy games I have played in the last few years. There was a lot of back and forth and great comeback moments... I look forward to release. Bugs I noticed -Music often no longer plays when returning to map from mission -Game has frozen 2 or 3 times when a soldier begins to shoot in overwatch, the gun sound over and over and cannot finish action. -Early and mid game, game will freeze after playing about 6-7 hours. -Late game, game will freeze after playing about 2-4 hours. -On terror mission in city, 2 walls can be seen and shot through. (I tried taking a screen shot but print screen doesnt seem to work on game.) -Shields disappear when no weapon in other hand. -Lizard guys change from having armor to not having armor sometimes while running around. When throwing grenades they are larger and about half way through the animation shrink back down to normal size.
