I was able to clear my first base with 6 soldiers and 1 armored vehicle equipped with rockets.As many of you stated before,I practicly razed first room to the ground with rocket fire and then it was quite a standard combat.I also kept one soldier as rocketeer,with few supplementary rockets with other soldiers in their backpacks.C4 is quite usefull but IMO not so practical as rocket launcher.My only problem was with command room,where I tried to stun Andron commander First time I met these cans and I thought those are greyheads in some fancy alien armor.After like 12 stun granades and 0 result I killed that monster.And only after mission, from autopsy (if we can call it like that) I realised....oh my,was I stupid

Hi Chris, yes,that is very precise description of problem.When I quit the game and start over,everything is OK.So I started from scratch,no problem for me,and so far works good.

Hi all, I am new here and following this game just for few weeks.Today steam updated my game to V20 Stable release candidate1.Well,I started completly new game as i got some CTDs and other weird behaviour of game from previous save. Normal difficulty,I placed my first base and it was...empty (only command centre in state of construction).Weird,but I thought to my self,maybe it is a new approach,to build your base from zero.Hmm,but then after some days and weeks,when NO ufos appeared,nowhere,iI started to wonder...there is something wrong with this version,I would say at least. EDIT: I checked game files integrity in steam and it found 7 NOK files and repaired them.Now it looks OK,new game,base is OK and allready have 1st ufo contact. EDIT2: Started another new game just to test if everything is OK...and again I have empty base at the beginning...very weird
