I don't see how this falls under the definition of trolling (such as purposely evoking a strong disgust/anger/annoyance), I personally found it quite humerus. At worst it should be locked because its probably some sort of automated post, though that might still be debatable, perhaps a deranged person is really posting these things one by one over hundreds of forums.

All this alien stuff seems to have really died down, the new X-com and Xenonauts and others like it, is just a revival thats feeding the older fans that liked the original xcom for the most part. The major reason why the old xcom did well (besides being a good game) was because of the show xfiles. After xfiles fell apart the whole "aliens are going to get us" pop culture meme has sort of gone away. It has receded into the conspiracy realm where a few paranoid schizophrenics believe that most world leaders are reptilians. But there is no wide pop culture appeal with sightings and greys and weird unexplained ufo's, most of the world has moved on to other fads. so I doubt a movie about alines would sell, unless its tided to a steven king book This is all my subjective opinion and has no basis in any real sociological study.

i really hope it gets eventually fixed, because today i got yet another freeze on 1280x1024 in the engineer manufacturing screen, that i don't have the patience to track down. So im putting this game off until they come up with a stable V20 and perhaps more maps. Going to get my fix from enemy within until then

Guys! there is no need to disagree, there are clearly more then one type of bug in the equipment screen, or one bug that manifests in different ways depending on hardware etc... As such we can all reproduce it under different conditions. this reminds me of the blind men and the elephant story anyway i tracked down the freeze that killed my game last night and once again at least for me it seems to be related to resolution here is the save file http://www.swoopshare.com/file/5c5e5f32a33db7e37fd56e378f83d456/2013-11-10_11.26.38.sav.html save name 013 go to Indochina base click soldier equipment, freeze here are the conditions: 1600x1040 and above freeze 1280x1024 and below works fine so far (but looks a bit crappy) not sure if i should start another thread for this or edit the OP with the new problem? Edit: I'm also getting the change rifle role then click anywhere CTD, on all resolutions it seems, so that might be an altogether different bug

indeed it seems that there at least a few very different bugs associated with the Equipment screen, fortunately I was never subjected to Elsayal's "changing the soldier role then clicking on rifle icon" crash/freeze. In fact after changing the resolution to 1920x1080 i was able to enjoy this awesome game for 7 hours without any major problems (a few small bugs here and there but nothing game breaking). Unfortunately Once i purchased a new base and stocked it up with 5 soldiers for defense, they arrived and i quickly clicked on the equipment screen for the new base, very excited to check out my fresh recruits, and then... freeze! it lost me 45 minutes of gameplay...

I get a similar equipment screen bug thing, but for me its a freeze not crash, i need to ctrlaltdel and end task after. It happens when i click on a soldier. any soldier may have this problem it seems to come up randomly about 1 out of 10. Clicking on soldiers is like a booby trap now, if you pick the wrong one you game dies lol. makes it quite unplayable.

Hey, I just installed the game today, loving it so far, it really captures the atmosphere/immersion of the old game I used to love so much. But unfortunately I constantly am getting freeze in the soldier equipment screen, either when I go to this screen or when I click on certain soldiers. Is there some way around this?
