Can anyone help I Gargled Bleach but that did not help

This probably shouldn't be here but, every time I restart steam I go back to using experimental builds. The opt-in to beta resets me to experimental. I know this is a steam problem but I can't get steam support to work and using the steam forums is like gargling bleach.

Loading up my stable candidate save I had a Grey(Can't remember Lore name) Psion run out unnerve one of my troops then got AI hang Bug

I know it affects recoil but does it do anything else?

If I get this now on the Experimental. Will I lose my saves when V21 Stable is out?

How do I use it?

I'm still on the "Interrogate Alien Officer" stage. I have stun grenade every ship I can but not finding any. Is there a specific ship type I need to find? I have only got the first two scout ship types. Are they on bigger ships?
