I am having the same issue. I tried reloading it the first time and speeding up time or attacking the corvette and it delayed it by about one month. I am at a point where I can no longer avoid it and have tried countless combinations to defer or delay it longer and its not possible. I am at a point in the game where I can no longer play due to base attacking corvette causing game to freese up. HELP!!!
