Just in general, you should probably decide if you're using UK or US spelling conventions and then use them throughout. Some examples: "artefact(UK)/artifact(US)", "analyse(UK)/analyze(US)", "armour(UK)/armor(US)". Since the Xenonauts are transnational it would make perfect sense to use UK English, which would have been the more international standard in the 70s.
