I can't get this mod to work with community edition. I'm praying the game on steam. Has anyone had success with this game +c.e. on steam? Or should I just play vanilla?

Is the game technically considered finished? Despite the issues with alien psionics?

This mod looks amazing; thanks for the hard work. I was wondering if this mod is backwards compatible. I already have a game going on the community edition and I don't want to restart; if I load the mod, will it be active for current and future games? or only future games?

Just pre-ordered the game on Desura. I wanted to wait until the Steam release, but I couldn't. I have a question (it might be a stupid question that was answered already): once the game is released on steam, how will I be able to play the game on Steam (which I prefer) and not Desura? And how do I get a "standard pre-order" forum badge since I pre-ordered on Desura already? Sorry if these questions seem dumb and have already been answered.
