I appreciate your response. I've been enjoying Xenonauts on Steam for quite some time, but recently, I've encountered an issue where the game freezes my computer, forcing me to reboot. Oddly, my PC setup hasn't changed, so it's frustrating that Steam support hasn't been able to assist, as they've directed me to Goldhawk, which doesn't seem relevant to my problem.

I took a break from the game for a few months, but now it's unable to locate my old saves or save new ones. I've scoured for answers without success, and I've tried every solution I could find. Frustrating!

Currently, in the game, weapons from different technological eras lack distinct characteristics. They mainly differ in terms of damage output without introducing new properties or effects. This results in all upgrades appearing the same, whether it's arrows with a silicon tip, iron tip, or depleted uranium tip. To enhance the gaming experience, I suggest introducing unique features for laser weapons. These features could include incendiary effects, blinding effects, and a "chainsaw" effect, which involves a wide beam. This would mean that laser weapons maintain a constant accuracy of 100%, provided there are no obstacles between the weapon and the target, as the laser beam's width spans several meters. By incorporating these distinct properties, the game's weapons will feel more technologically diverse and engaging.
