  2. I loved 93-2004. Now the games are all short, cloned and repetitive. I've started with the first Doom. Other fantastic games for me was: Doom I & II Wolfenstain Duke Nukem Quake I & II Ufo: Enemy Unknown Dune 2000 Sim City Descent Warcraft Bomberman Age of Empires X-COM Apocalipse Thief I, II The elder scroll: Morrowind Baldur's Gate: Shadows of Amn Gothic I & II Diablo I & II The Curse of Monkey Island GTA C&C: Red Alert Medal of Honor Unreal Unreal Tournament Half Life Battlefild 1942 Max Payne Serious Sam Deud Ex Mafia Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Over 2004 i only appreciate: Far Cry Fallout 3 Assassin's Creed Medieval II: Total War F.E.A.R. Mass Effect Risen Over 2004 games become a copy of each other, and most of the sequel (Far Cry 2, Max payne 2, Gothic 3, Duke Nukem Forever) were a flop for me. Playing a game today is like to playing 20. Same ideas, no story feelings becouse today nobody plays in single player, but they prefer multiplayer: so why to spend resource to create a beautiful story when all prefer multiplayer? Indeed the 5 games I have quoted earlier was the only, in my opinion, which had a fascinating story. I want again a game like Thief, Max Payne, Deus Ex, X-COM Apocalipse (What is doing 2K?), whit a real story, but probably i have to wait a long time. Now I'm waiting Diablo III and Mass Effect III..and i'm hoping..
  3. Numbering of soldiers is wrong. I have double numbers of soldiers. Also in the soldiers menĂ¹ one of this is not counted as UNASSIGNED as you can see in this image.
  4. When you have a negative money balance you can't dismiss scientist or technician clicking on HIRE button. Only if you have a positive money balance you can.
  5. When you try to destroy wall from the outside having a soldier in proximity of it you can do that. If you try the same thing from the inside this is not possible, but if you are a point away you can. Furthermore you can destroy the wall by shooting over the wall being in proximity of it. If you shoot to a wall from short distance with a machinegun always you hit one point earlier (visible in the ground; this only appear when you are inside a building), if you use a m16 this not happen (but a bullet go in the ground anyway). If you shoot from the inside to outside through a window with a machinegun the soldier die, probabily becouse he hit the ground where he is (bug already reported in masterbug thread). However if you shoot from the outside to the inside through a window the soldier don't die becouse his bullet don't hit the ground. You can try it in all ground mission.

I researched: Allenium Alien Alloys Alien Alloy Fabrication Alien Power Source Alien Navigation Plasma Pistol Plasma Rifle Never saved or loaded a game during a research. Now i don't find nothing more. I have done three missions, but i don't obtain other tech. Any suggestion?
  7. So it's not a bug I thought all UFOs give a crashsite and instead I was wrong. So these types of UFOs will not be necessary to recover alien technology useful for the production of better aircraft. Sounds strange.
  8. I'm not able to crash fighters UFO. Always I destroy it. I have used also only machineguns, but the crash site never appear. Think this trouble is not reported yet.
  9. I have 70 scientist unassigned, but i only hired 35. I have two laboratory that have -35/100 of space used. Here is a savegame. edit: I just see that this bug was already reported. The only news seems to be the value of -35/100 of space used in laboratory.
  10. I played for about 2 hours at this release and I want to express you my impressions. I have not read much in the forum, only the titles of the tread due to lack of time, so if some arguments were to be repeated I apologize in advance. I have divided my impressions into classes, to facilitate both my understanding and your. My english is not good so if something is not clear I' ll try to give you a better explanation START MENU - Words are too small in the initial screen (new Commence operation etc. ..) This is an aesthetic opinion. I do not think it makes sense to have words so small. This also applies to the description of the equipment in the troops menu. Slightly increase the character. - Game options: Divide the various options for audio, video, games, etc. as in many common games - Iron Man mode: First I would like to know what is the actual difference between veteran and insane. If the difference is only in this option, then the insane level can be removed and leave the choice of this option for those who want it. If there are differences I have a proposal. In this mode saves are created only in special events. This may be ok at the beginning where the missions are relatively simple, but going forward things get complicated, and the unexpected increase. I would suggest putting a limit of saves, for example 1 (maybe 2 are too many) in the tactical map so you do not have to go crazy if something goes wrong at the last alien. Another important thing: it would be better that there are at least two or three autosaves, not to benefit the player, but to prevent data loss. Try to think if, arrived at mid-game, after going mad in every mission, suddenly the game crashes and the only autosave is corrupt ... There are 3 units that may attack it, but they must move. It would be nice to be able to see over the alien which is the percentage of fire and if after the movement can affect. That way if you can hit, you go out into the open, if not go into cover. AIRCRAFT - Experience of the pilots: The damage and the ability to deflect shots depends on the experience of pilots - The mig can use 2 machineguns: It seems absurd that this aircraft should mount only missiles. Choose to use machine guns to hurt less UFOs and have more technology, however, risking aircraft. - Alien Bases: I wonder why the aliens can not have bases on earth. Maybe the same could be UFO landing. Increase the realism, the number of missions and technology we can capture. TROOPS AND WEAPONS -Adding weapons mods: (silencers, scopes etc.): a little difficult to implement, but which would give a great realism. It would also increase the number of researches to be done to develop weapons mod. -Slot for helmet mods: night vision, infrared, anti psy more. For example, in the missions in the dark the night vision device can be much more useful than the flare that I have ever used. - Shoulder slots: 2 slots for add grenades for each shoulder ( 4 granades in total) and decrease the weight of HE to 0.5 kg or less. -Add a button to remove all the equipment of a soldier or to all soldiers: -Add the ability to give everyone the same equipment -Being able to mount the type of ammunition chosen: I do not know if it's a bug, but I can not load the launcher with the anti-tank ammunition BUGS - The tactical map does not scroll down if you move the mouse - You cannot overwrite saves in the Geoscape - Soldiers sometimes do not get stuck when it detects an enemy -The last alien alive never moves from his position ( must search for it and kill) I hope I was understandable and not to have wasted your time in reading this long post.
