  1. Sometimes the Community edition mod manager thing in the launcher will freeze when I try to delete a single mod, and then when it starts responding again every single mod is gone. This results in me being forced to reinstall the whole game to get the base CE mods again and to reinstall all of my steam workshop mods. Needless to say this is incredibly irritating.
  2. Yeah thanks, I decided to just go for it and it has worked. Currently have my forces divided as a squad of five and a squad with the vehicle and a rifleman to open doors for it . The obstacles are no issue, why'd you think the wheels are so big? It's to aid in crushing puny alien fences and experiments!
  3. Title is misleading, I only have one question, can I use a vehicle in a base assault? I know this is likely to not be very effective but I'm pressed for good troops. Thanks, Ed.
  4. I'm also having this issue. The scenario is two completely stock f-17s fly into an air combat event with one alien fighter, they enter the fight and both of Condor 2s missiles are disabled to start with, I click to disable condor 1's missiles, the game freezes and I get a windows "Xenonauts has crashed" window. No mods or anything, using a steam install on windows 7.
  5. Damn, it's a shame you can't do number 1, would be kinda op though.
  6. I used to play ironman all the time, simply because the game crashed non-stop and it was the only way to ensure I could make progress without non stop manual saving.
  7. Title explains it all really: 1) Can you use multiple dropships in one mission to double your crew size? 2) Are soldiers that "die" in combat necessarily dead? Sometimes on the end screen it doesn't label them KIA but there not in my soldier roster at my bases? That's all thanks.
  8. Playing xenonauts again for the first time in a while, loving the bugfixes and stuff implemented since I last played. But one thing is pissing me right off. Walls. Specifically the fact that aliens keep on doing this: crouching on the 'far' (from the isometric standpoint) side of a wall. This makes it, as far as I can tell, impossible to target them directly. I lost four soldiers trying to kill an alien who was in the open, suppressed and about three meters away. Because of this. Am I missing something or is this an issue with the isometric layout? If so is it going to be addressed?
  9. Awesome Can be quite confusing, especially with aliens inside the spacecraft, as often you cannot see the tile at their feet.
  10. I spawned into a ground combat, to find an alien very near to my chinook, I proceeded to fire every weapon I had at it, and being rather slow, it took me me about 5 minutes to realise it was a glitch and I was not cursed with constant missing! What had happened was the alien had died somehow, but he remained standing. His items were on the floor and there was the standard blood pool. Not really game breaking, just caught me off guard.
  11. Have done this about 3 times now, still not working, I'm giving up on this sh*ty platform and direct downloading it.
  12. The only problem I have with the use of desura is the extremely unreliable and constantly freezing updates. At the moment I can't get the newest version to update and can no longer play the old version. Very disappointing.
  13. K thanks, I have been away from xenonauts and this forum for ages, comp broke, so I wasn't even aware there was a kickstarter.
  14. Hi! First off I don't know if this has been brought up before, there are 400+ threads in the feature suggestion section, I am not willing, nor do I have the time, to check. So my idea is something along the lines of a flare or throwable light or maybe even a throwable motion detector. The idea behind this is that no one likes it when your best man goes through a door or into a new area and BAM he is dead. With this useable item you could basically check an area for threats before exposing yourself to them. Any comments or ideas? Please share your critizism. -Ed
  15. NastyNative, he wasn't trolling your post. He was disagreeing in a fairly reasonable fashion.
