[V12] Suppressed own troops killing sebillian at close range inside light scout...

Light scout farm map, one trooper standing to the right of the door to the ship, trooper with mg to the left. Sebillian standing back right cell inside.

Turn starts, MG trooper steps 1 cell into the ship and kills sebillian with mg. Trooper outside gets suppressed...

Yeah, I mentioned about this in the suppression mechanics thread. Don't think this is a bug per se, just the way the system is supposed to work for now.

Which at this point is bit overzealous. My issue was with a trooper killing a sebillian with an MG. The sebillian was standing in the next square from the MG. A friendly trooper was behind the MG guy, and as the MG soldja killed the sebillian, the soldier behind the shooter was suppressed (guess the empty casings hit on his helmet or something).

looks like the suppression is a "circle" which doesn't really make sense if it's friendly "outgoing" fire. Makes sense if the friendly was in the line of fire between the firer and the target, but at close ranges being within suppression range and out of the way is going to be horrendous in the larger ufo clearances. Someone opens up down a corridor with a burst and the whole squad behind/near him gets suppressed.... ugh!

edit: just had a mg open up towards an alien some distance away. All the troopers around the mg trooper were suppressed... suppression is against a circle around the firer as well as the target?
