Would it be possible to be able to add an option when creating maps, to allow the the Chinook to begin the mission on level 1 of the map, instead of level 0 ? This would then allow there to be a level beneath the ground. This would open up the game to have the maps such as Mines, Catacombs, Bunkers, Sewers, Basements and Caves modded in at a later date. Not to mention sublevels for potential Hive missions. Another option with this would be that it would enable the chinook to land on top of a building and a mission to clear out the occupants from the top down.

Just putting this up as I know a lot of us don't check the main site for news (I rarely do at least). So some may have missed this news update. http://www.xenonauts.com/category/news/ A lot of its already been said on the development updates on the forums, but there's previews of base rooms, and they look absolutely fantastic. Seriously, I cannot wait to play on those maps. The tile artist has done a fantastic job, really impressed with how good it looks. Great job

I'm curious as to why the battle map is entirely blank after you arrive in your helicopter. It would be nice if some landmarks were filled in - as they would have been seen by someone aboard when landing at the destination. Crash site, buildings etc...
