  1. Is this possible to trick the game and launch 3 drones as a single aircraft? I mean you build them in 3, they fit into a hangar as 3 and you launch all 3 with one click but they count as one aircraft unit until they engage and become 3 separate units during the fight (hope it makes sense).

    As for the ultimate fighter drone, I have a candidate: Ghostfighter.gif

  2. Is this possible to tweak Hyperion and give it an ability to shoot rockets from its rocket pods (and replace its one-shot cannon with multi-shot one aka machine gun)?

    To me Hunter's weapon load out is the most balanced: it has rockets for AoE and double machine guns for suppression/killing. Scimitar and Hyperion only have single-shot AoE cannons, which isn't always useful.

  3. There's absolutely no need to capture and research singularity core as it does not lead to any useful technologies.

    Singularity cannon does insane damage but reduces TU down to 64. Each battery costs 4 TU more. Shot takes 52 TU. The only instance this cannon has a use is the last mission.

    Fury interceptor is an absurd and incredible waste of resources as it does not kill the UFO if it happen to have at least one escort unit.

  4. Original Furies are useless. I've build 4 and I regret funds spent on this garbage. Why? - they're only useful if the targeted UFO has no escort. Otherwise you press 'engage', it says 'job done, chief!' and... it takes down an escort fighter. How freaking pathetic this is!

    Do Assault Carriers and Dreadnoughts have sprites for ground combat?

  5. This feel, when you wait for your turn to come for 26 minutes... And your fps stuck at 4.17 mark... Why?...

    What makes it so bad? My CPU is not enough? My GPU is not enough? My memory is not enough? Why?...

    It's ok, until I get to the 3~4th floor of the carrier/battleship. Then I have 4~5 fps regardless of the smoke, fire and etc.

    It's ok if I do the terror mission until I blow up at least one car. Then I have 5 fps if at least a tiny bit of it is present on the screen.

    I just launch xenonauts_gc and spam 'v'. I can't take it any more. Anything beyond 'large' class UFO is a pain in the bones to do(except for alien bases; they always go smooth).

  6. Sounds promising.

    Will you extend alien's weaponry? Even though their plasma guns always have sufficient fire power they are... boring. Most mods only add tens of weapons to humans completely ignoring the opposite side. It's like you're always getting some more and more new and interesting stuff, while they remain the same forever.

  7. Kabill I test removing all "once per wave" and Im having soo much fun. Multiple aerial terror missions, all bases attacked, scouts intercept Charlies, scoutes make base attacks xD

    LOL this is amaizing.

    The difficulty of geospace is increased A LOT and that show more dynamic alien invasion. Is just an experiment ^^

    What did you do? Teach me, pls.

  8. I said this somewhere before but I'll repeat: to me tanks are godsend. My first Hunter survived tens of missions and tanked thousands of potential damage. 80% of hits were either miss or resist or just reflect (no indication and no damage). Although heavy plasma is something to avoid.

    By the time aliens get battle rifles and plasma cannons even Scimitars start to suffer heavy damage but even then they're still good. Recently I've installed railgun on my Scimitar-1. Gosh, this thing did 231 damage to poor Caesean guard. Totally worth it.

    As for the Hyperion, why does it have only one weapon despite he has a main gun and rockets on its pic?
