  1. I think this is the right place to post this bug. If not, please let me know. I ran into an interesting bug where I was in an alien base and moved a soldier to a teleporter. The movement caused a reaction fire to occur as my soldier walked onto the platform and was teleported. I heard the reaction fire but the game became unresponsive after that. This one is a bit hard to recreate so I thought I'd mention it here even though I haven't reproduced the behavior. Hope this helps. Thanks again for a great game! -Chris
  2. Oh two more things. One time I sent 2 foxtrots after a small ufo and auto-resolved the combat. It was successful but there was no loss of ammo after the fight. I've also on more than one occasion auto-resolved some fights that were supposed to be 100% where my planes were reduced to 0% health even as I was the victor of the encounter. Thanks, Chris
  3. Okay I ran this build for several hours before the first crash. It occurred after I shot down a single medium ufo but there was a bug that caused the red (flying) ufo icon to be displayed over the location where I shot it down. My plan was to cash in with an airstrike but when I hovered over the still red ufo icon, the name on it was something like -747289298 and after I clicked it, it crashed. I suspected as much but not enough to save the game first. Another thing I noticed was there was one time I shot down a scout and sent in a team to clean up. After I got there I moved my guys out of the transport and ended the turn, and then the mission promptly ended giving me the expected cash credit for the mission. So is that a valid scenario? I'm presuming the game left no survivors from the crash. There are a few other bugs I found in previous builds that I have not yet tested out in this build. I'll let you all know what I find. Chris
  4. If it helps any, the only way I can get a particular save to not crash after a crash has already occurred is to re-log into windows. Often when I try to launch the game again after a crash it will say that there is an instance already running and I can't exit Steam because of a similar error, something like, "Please exit xenonauts before exiting steam". Sometimes I can get in again without re-logging into windows and it will promptly crash as soon as I start the mission that crashed it in the first place. I've been successful playing the game by re-logging into windows when a crash occurs and this gives me a decent amount of game time before the next crash. I've been sticking to day time missions but I'm not sure how helpful that is above being able to see further away during the missions. If there is anything else I can do to help just let me know. Chris
  5. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums but I've logged some 280 hours in the game. After the new experimental build (v21 e2) I started a new game and ran into some crashes pretty early. (I'm assuming that I did a night time mission). I repeated this process a few times to the same end and concluded that maybe a complete re-install would fix the problem so I did that and started a new game again. Again, I crashed after a few missions. At this time I checked the forums and found that maybe it was because I was doing night time missions. I did find some success in doing only daytime missions but I still inevitably run into crashes later on whether the missions are day or night. I can't seem to pin point a single problem that is causing them but they are occurring either during the load, or during the alien turns, sometimes only after a turn or two, sometimes after several turns. I'll keep playing to try and discover the cause. In the meantime, is there some save file I can upload to help the developers locate and correct these crashes? Thanks! Chris
