    Sorry, but don't understand me wrong :(. I realy like the game arts too. Tactical map graphic is super! Only this "doors" looks strange for me.

  2. Yes, not sure is you mean this, but it's looks like you think I have any responsibility to how ufos in game looks. As I say i didn't change or add anything there(well, I did couple of new barn submap variations but it's with only goldhawk's sprites), it's just map.

  3. what doors in ship?

    Look on the soldier second from right. He is standing close to some doors in this round ship construction. That doors looks strange for me - like traditional doors with handle.

  4. When grenade explode in building or close to building, windows should go out. Even when damages to building will be minimal - explosion should destroy many windows. In 17.1 I didn't saw it working this way. People throwing many grenades in one place, and windows are ok. Strange.

    BTW Medi-Kit use looks like grenade throwing :].

  5. We've not done enough playtesting to see what is the most fun, but the current idea is that the final UFO type will be more powerful than any fighter craft you have.

    You can kill it relatively easily using missiles built with recovered alien materials, but you'll run out of them pretty quickly and the super-UFOs will only become more and more frequent. So basically you have to launch the final mission before the invasion overwhelms you.

    Good idea. I hope it will be steady progress and game will not end too fast after discovering all tech and final mission. We will see how many battle ships can we handle at once :P.

  6. Hello!

    I just played original X-COM on hardest level - GOD level. I must say that for veterans AI in oryginal game is bad, and Xenonauts can be much better. I was so strong that I had 3 bases (2 weak) on the end of the first month, and 5 bases in 3 months. The only problem I had it was mission start when you go outside ship (only one exit) and You are dead or to kill aliens in their ship (sometimes I drop proximity grenades and wait until they go outside :P). After have personal armours and better accuracy mission was easy. Many bases = low cash in first months.

    I hate very good accuracy of aliens. I can't hit them or hit them only little but bastards hit me often. I hate it.

    I don't like also:

    - aliens doing nothing in open area.

    - aliens are not prepeared to fight. They should have some hidden soldiers looking around in good direction. In original they sometimes standing like idiots backward to my ship 10 feet away.

    - they should have some wouned aliens after crash - pleas, pleas, pleas! :)

    - aliens should better defend ship (they sometimes "talking" in group backward to main doors).

    - aliens should have some groups who will atack, and others who will hide/defend, and some captain to defend him or ship. And if many atackers die, they should try to escape/defend.

    - if aliens didn't crash. They should be prepared to defend better - maybe even ambush. On first mission they can be not prepeared because they dont know we have Xenonauts.

    - neutral soldiers also should hide, not standing like hero in one open place.

    I like:

    - panic & breaserking aliens.

  7. what exactly is the difference between grenades and this weapon?

    More range and can shoot few times (also sentry shoots). Maybe even can shoot to buildings (second or higher floor).

    Don't implement it if it's so hard. Game is good enought without it :). Maybe we will have new weapons in some upgrade pack v1.5 or mod pack.

    Nope, grenade launcher will not be in the official release. It might appear in a mod if someone figures out how. the grenade launcher isn't different enough from roles filled by the rocket launcher or the regular grenades to really warrant it.
    Maybe isn't different but it have very nice shooting effect. :(

    I was playing UFO AI some time 1 or 2 years ago. And this kind of weapon is very usable. People will like it. Maybe there is chance to modify grenade throwing into this weapon? :(

  9. It's cartoonish, and far from perfect, because it's just hand drawn and I not very skilled painter, sometimes messy, and maybe strange colored.

    Very nice. I want this type of maps in game :)

  10. Xcom Veteran, you'll find this post by Chris very informative. I would suggest checking out the rest of that thread (even if it is old). You might find some other questions answered as well.

    EDIT: And check out this thread. It should lay to rest any worries that you may have about loosing engineers or scientists. (Chris' response is about 4 posts down).

  12. When we lose sponsor (country) - this country is in alliance with Aliens right? So maybe missions on territory of this country should consist Aliens & Humans teams. Soldiers guarding UFO or Aliens base as reinforcement.

    Maybe if we will atack UFO or atack crashed UFO they will come (land) with own squad to defend UFO?

    Maybe even muted humans soldiers?

    Maybe their aircrafts will be shooting down ours?

    Good or bad idea to implement this aspect?

  13. Well, the original had proximity mines rather than sentry guns, but I don;t think they;ll be making it into the game (missed Kickstarter level? or was that motion scanners).

    I remember that orginal had grenades with option of delayed explosion. I don't remember proximity mines hmmmy...

    You are right, sentry guns have some drawbacks.

  14. How about automatic guard idea (stationary gun on three legs with auto fire in one direction - like in Alien 2 movie)? Soldier can have one and place it in corridor when defending own base.

    I don't think it will be good on normal missions but in bases atack or defence missions why not? Or maybe it should be additional equipment for some buildings as an defence improvement?

    Maybe also biger aliens ships should have some auto guns instaled on level 2 to kill humans outside? Good or bad idea?
