  1. GooberCat...

hmm so is eveything else working? new aircrafts, battles and such?

Are some kinds of crafts invisible or all of them?

Also, did you try starting a new game after reinstalling?

So far all the UFO crafts are invisable... my own I can see just fine. So far everything in the tactical screen works as intended (I think) and I did start a new game as well.

I just sent Sentelin my specs so I dont clutter up your mod page... Im more then willing to send you guys whatever you need. :)

Im so surprised with how fast you are responding!

  2. Hey there... first off I wanted to say a big thank you for taking the time to build all these maps! As a non-techy person I am probably a little naive when it comes to the amount time and effort it would take to do this. Thank you :)

I do have a question though... again Im a not tech person and I was wondering... when I extract your files to the Xenonaut folder.. is it suppose to to create its own folder in there or should I be saving over the assets and map folders??

Thanks in advance for the help and thanks again for the new maps! :)

  3. I feel it is fine the way it is... its your own fault if you don't train new recruits on a regular basis. I always try to have 1-2 recruits per mission at any time that way if I loose a bunch of troops or my Chinook gets shot down, I'll have some people readily able to step up. With that being said, if you are thinking about adding a way to increase recruit stats, just make it the same way you already do with you basic training... make the player spend money on it but make it so it takes time (say 7-14 days) to train them and costs enough where it might just be easier to train them up the normal way.

  4. I have also noticed that as long as your soldiers are hiding behind doors... the aliens never open them to shoot at you. I cleared a command room in a alien base by just opening the door... shooting... ending turn... repeat. The aliens just sat there waiting to reaction fire.

  5. I'm currently in my first alien base assault and I must say that I feel my soldiers needed to bring a seeing eye dog with them. The only way you can see an alien is if your right on top of them. I love the narrow corridor fighting but the range of which the aliens can shoot you from just feels a tad ridiculous.

  6. Just as the title suggests... a memorial wall would be a great way to remember all those soldiers who died saving Earth. After playing for awhile now I would love to be able to see which soldiers died and where..... you have already added the medals (which is awesome btw) and I was wondering if it would be hard to add this?

  7. I have experienced this freeze twice in two different game starts now. I have been playing on Ironman mode and whenever I kill the last alien in the map due to reaction fire... the game freezes. After reload the game brings you back to just after that last alien was killed and again the game freezes. Both times it was on the North American Farm on a light scout. As this is in Ironman mode it basically makes it unplayable and you need to restart your game.

  8. Hello again,

I just wanted to re-post this as I am still unable to launch the game with the latest update. I remember reading another post about this but I cannot find it now (I think it was for V18.3) and I remember Chris mentioning that it was a bug. When I double click to run the game I always get the message "Xenonauts has stopped working... windows is searching for the problem" until the search times out.

Previously, I was able to load the game using the launcherfix within the Xenonauts folder... but with this last update... that option has been removed. Also, prior to the V18 builds I could run the game fine.

My CPU specs are listed below... hope this helps!

  9. Weapons have HP and they can be destroyed, soooo... I gues it's possible. But wouldn't that be super annoying to have your $50,000 laser become a useless hunk of junk just when you need it the most? (i.e. in combat when baddies are shooting at you!)

It would but it can add a element of realism as this can happen in real life.
