  1. Hey guys... ok so it looks like it is only the small and very small UFO's... Ill keep slugging along to see if any others pop up.
  2. So far all the UFO crafts are invisable... my own I can see just fine. So far everything in the tactical screen works as intended (I think) and I did start a new game as well. I just sent Sentelin my specs so I dont clutter up your mod page... Im more then willing to send you guys whatever you need. Im so surprised with how fast you are responding!
  3. Yes, this is the first mod (aside from adding map packs) that I have installed. I made a separate copy of my vanilla game then extracted this one to my assests folder. Im not a tech person by any means, so I just followed your install guide step by step. Hopefully, I didnt mess something up (even with not seeing those ufo's... im having a blast... awesome job)
  4. Hey guys... great mod btw! I just wanted to let you know that on the geoscape all the UFO's are invisible to me... I can see the text saying UFO 1... 2 etc but the actual UFO cannot be seen. Im not sure if it was intended or not so I thought Id let you know.
  5. Hey there... first off I wanted to say a big thank you for taking the time to build all these maps! As a non-techy person I am probably a little naive when it comes to the amount time and effort it would take to do this. Thank you I do have a question though... again Im a not tech person and I was wondering... when I extract your files to the Xenonaut folder.. is it suppose to to create its own folder in there or should I be saving over the assets and map folders?? Thanks in advance for the help and thanks again for the new maps!
  6. add the mod longwar from Nexus mods and Xcom-enemy unknown/within is a brand new game... With that being said... I also LOVE Xenonauts
  7. I feel it is fine the way it is... its your own fault if you don't train new recruits on a regular basis. I always try to have 1-2 recruits per mission at any time that way if I loose a bunch of troops or my Chinook gets shot down, I'll have some people readily able to step up. With that being said, if you are thinking about adding a way to increase recruit stats, just make it the same way you already do with you basic training... make the player spend money on it but make it so it takes time (say 7-14 days) to train them and costs enough where it might just be easier to train them up the normal way.
  8. Nice post Jim, I agree with most of what you said but I don't mind the auto selling of corpses and equipment as the overall "feel" still is there. I noticed that Anchorage "attack"... I don't live that far from you (Whitehorse, YT) and thought that was kinda funny
  9. I have also noticed that as long as your soldiers are hiding behind doors... the aliens never open them to shoot at you. I cleared a command room in a alien base by just opening the door... shooting... ending turn... repeat. The aliens just sat there waiting to reaction fire.
  10. Just letting you guys know (which I think you do already) that pretty much throughout the entire Sebillion Base the aliens are trying to shoot my soldiers through walls.
  11. I'm currently in my first alien base assault and I must say that I feel my soldiers needed to bring a seeing eye dog with them. The only way you can see an alien is if your right on top of them. I love the narrow corridor fighting but the range of which the aliens can shoot you from just feels a tad ridiculous.
  12. Just as the title suggests... a memorial wall would be a great way to remember all those soldiers who died saving Earth. After playing for awhile now I would love to be able to see which soldiers died and where..... you have already added the medals (which is awesome btw) and I was wondering if it would be hard to add this?
  13. I have experienced this freeze twice in two different game starts now. I have been playing on Ironman mode and whenever I kill the last alien in the map due to reaction fire... the game freezes. After reload the game brings you back to just after that last alien was killed and again the game freezes. Both times it was on the North American Farm on a light scout. As this is in Ironman mode it basically makes it unplayable and you need to restart your game.
  14. I've noticed that the ammo isn't topping up after a mission. If your soldier uses any ammo... he starts the next mission with what he had left in the magazine. I've had to reequip my rifles after each mission.
  15. Yes... that seems to be the problem... thanks for the heads up!
  16. This might be a result from a previous reported bug (mouse cursor flashing when being moved) but I am unable to arrange my soldiers in the dropship. This is new for me...
  17. Wow, deleting the video makes it work fine! Thanks for the quick reply Chris!
  18. Hello again, I just wanted to re-post this as I am still unable to launch the game with the latest update. I remember reading another post about this but I cannot find it now (I think it was for V18.3) and I remember Chris mentioning that it was a bug. When I double click to run the game I always get the message "Xenonauts has stopped working... windows is searching for the problem" until the search times out. Previously, I was able to load the game using the launcherfix within the Xenonauts folder... but with this last update... that option has been removed. Also, prior to the V18 builds I could run the game fine. My CPU specs are listed below... hope this helps! Alienware Aurora: OS Name Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Name RICHARD-PC System Manufacturer Alienware System Model Aurora-R3 System Type x64-based PC Processor IntelĀ® Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date Alienware A06, 25/05/2011 SMBIOS Version 2.6 Windows Directory C:\Windows System Directory C:\Windows\system32 Boot Device \Device\HarddiskVolume2 Locale Canada Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "6.1.7601.17514" Time Zone Pacific Daylight Time Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB Total Physical Memory 16.0 GB Available Physical Memory 12.6 GB Total Virtual Memory 32.0 GB Available Virtual Memory 27.3 GB Page File Space 16.0 GB Page File C:\pagefile.sys
  19. Im having this same problem.... only since the latest update though.
  20. Thanks Max... ahh how would I go about updating that?
  21. It would but it can add a element of realism as this can happen in real life.
