  1. I'm not sure where all the Xenonaut fans are located. I'd have thought there would already be a good spread across a number of countries.

The way I've been putting on weight in my old age, I think a significant part of the spread in this country must be mine ....... or is that just my senile dementia talking? :(

  2. There are a Czech studio btw, not Russian.

I wonder if that "Looking for a C++ Programmer" Info is new. Dont remember seeing that, but didnt visit their homepage that often either.

Has anyone noticed how that job requests a programmer for 'ET2:Battle over Mercury' while the new upcoming one is in fact 'ET2: Shadows Over Earth'? Sounds like they are planning an sequel already.

  3. I've been repeatedly looking them up myself for what must be months now but frustrating as their lack of info handouts are, I seem to remember this is exactly what they did last time, so I haven't given up on them yet. It's possible that the recent launch of XCOM caused them to delay their own and they're now spending extra time on perfecting what they have but more likely they just wont publish until they are satisfied their game is ready, regardless of however much longer it will take. They appear to be that sort of company. It may be damn annoying to us right now but certainly wont be a bad thing in the long term ..........I hope.

  4. I'm confused and as an 'old wrinkly', I don't even think it's because of the damn senile dementia kicking in again this time.

Am I right in what I think people seem to be saying, that update 16.1 is in fact available on Desura now .......apart from the missing Windows version that is and also the fact that it is being listed as version 16.0 by mistake? If this is the case, then why do Desura continue to declare that the most recent update for Desura was instead back 3 days ago? I keep restarting Xenonauts through Desura instead of straight from my hard drive, hoping to see the automatic update process from them will kick in as it did before but so far it never has.

  5. I understand the frustration with this and I apologise for the ongoing issues, although there's not much we can do about it.

I doubt anyone here feels you have anything whatsoever to apologise for, although I for one greatly appreciate you feeling the need to do so. You are doing a tremendous job there Chris and deserve everyones gratitude and admiration.

  6. I looked Desura up to see where they were located. They are Australia based unfortunately, meaning it must already be around 6.30pm there, so unless they are already sorting out our access to this update while working on overtime, I'm not expecting them to get around to this now for about another 16 hours at the very least.

  7. Where can you change their armor color O_o I would love to do that. I did that in the new XCOM too, easier to see and makes for a squadron feeling too ^^

I've done that in XCOM and elsewhere too but am certain you can't here unfortunately. Be extremely nice if that option is included in the finished game though.

  8. Any chance of making it so roles appear on the portrait in the dropship tab? It'd make organizing soldiers much easier, and would mean I wouldn't have to give callsigns like "LMG 1"

What I'd do is give each type of soldier a slightly different colour to his armour. I find this solves that problem for me.

  9. Update and fix for the 'Invisible' bug which might also be linked to the 'Crash to Desktop' one.

Found on another thread that saving the game just before landing at the site, then after landing reloaded from that save, fixes the 'Invisible' bug. This works. What it also seems to cure is that after reloading it has so far never crashed to desktop either. For me it has only ever crashed to desktop if I fail to reload. Can't say this will remain to be true but it's been true so far.
