  1. I once used to say 'Hee-Hee' to jokes like these but then I got a 'Narrow to the Hee' and now just say 'Hee'.
  2. I only had issue with all that bloaty, dark artwork inside the alien ships. It even made me avoid ever entering any of them unless I absolutely had to, because I found it so ugly and annoying. All the other artwork everywhere else, that I really liked.
  3. Thanks for the heads-up about that forum opening Raziel1981. I've been checking their site regularly but hadn't spotted that. Makes me hope that the game's launch is still imminent after all.
  4. Reckon we'll be lucky if it even comes out in the 4th quarter of the last month in 2013 now.
  5. The way I've been putting on weight in my old age, I think a significant part of the spread in this country must be mine ....... or is that just my senile dementia talking?
  6. Just came across this item of information today concerning an upcoming game sequel that had seemed to have died a death. UFO2Extraterrestrials: Shadows over Earth [PC] is now scheduled as follows. August 2013 Worldwide August 2013 Europe August 2013 USA Check out http://games.gamepressure.com/game_info.asp?ID=17214 for more info
  7. Has anyone noticed how that job requests a programmer for 'ET2:Battle over Mercury' while the new upcoming one is in fact 'ET2: Shadows Over Earth'? Sounds like they are planning an sequel already.
  8. Very tasty design work. My compliments to the chef.
  9. I've been repeatedly looking them up myself for what must be months now but frustrating as their lack of info handouts are, I seem to remember this is exactly what they did last time, so I haven't given up on them yet. It's possible that the recent launch of XCOM caused them to delay their own and they're now spending extra time on perfecting what they have but more likely they just wont publish until they are satisfied their game is ready, regardless of however much longer it will take. They appear to be that sort of company. It may be damn annoying to us right now but certainly wont be a bad thing in the long term ..........I hope.
  10. My thanks Gorlom for clearing up my confusion concerning this update. Now if only you could do the same for the rest of my life as well............. (sigh)
  11. I'm confused and as an 'old wrinkly', I don't even think it's because of the damn senile dementia kicking in again this time. Am I right in what I think people seem to be saying, that update 16.1 is in fact available on Desura now .......apart from the missing Windows version that is and also the fact that it is being listed as version 16.0 by mistake? If this is the case, then why do Desura continue to declare that the most recent update for Desura was instead back 3 days ago? I keep restarting Xenonauts through Desura instead of straight from my hard drive, hoping to see the automatic update process from them will kick in as it did before but so far it never has.
  12. I doubt anyone here feels you have anything whatsoever to apologise for, although I for one greatly appreciate you feeling the need to do so. You are doing a tremendous job there Chris and deserve everyones gratitude and admiration.
  13. It is at this moment 4:17am at.......... Desura Pty Ltd Level 10, 50 Market Street Melbourne 3000 VIC, Australia Will have to wait until their day staff arrive before anything starts happening
  14. Methinks they might be trying again but this time disguised as X-Com Posers.
  15. I looked Desura up to see where they were located. They are Australia based unfortunately, meaning it must already be around 6.30pm there, so unless they are already sorting out our access to this update while working on overtime, I'm not expecting them to get around to this now for about another 16 hours at the very least.
  16. Nothing wrong in firing at an out-of-sight location with either rockets or a grenade launcher, to bombard the general area, but agree it should never be feasible using a sniper rifle.
  17. I've done that in XCOM and elsewhere too but am certain you can't here unfortunately. Be extremely nice if that option is included in the finished game though.
  18. What I'd do is give each type of soldier a slightly different colour to his armour. I find this solves that problem for me.
  19. I should add that you have to reload before it crashes. Reloading after is not gauranteed
  20. Update and fix for the 'Invisible' bug which might also be linked to the 'Crash to Desktop' one. Found on another thread that saving the game just before landing at the site, then after landing reloaded from that save, fixes the 'Invisible' bug. This works. What it also seems to cure is that after reloading it has so far never crashed to desktop either. For me it has only ever crashed to desktop if I fail to reload. Can't say this will remain to be true but it's been true so far.
  21. It took an extremely long time to validate mine also but it did eventually get through that. Seemed like forever, I agree.
  22. On the previous release I had an invisible alien. None of those on this release yet but I have had several invisible NPCs. All you can see of them is their shadow.
  23. Hi Everyone. just clicked on play and the updateoption came up. Updating now.
