I have aliens go blue on me, and I cannot shoot them once they have gone blue.
Is this a bug or is there a explanation?
-
Is it done yet?
-
Hang on...Moonie, why do you have both X-com and UFO: Enemy Unknown in the same list?
The third one that was smaller scale. X-COM: Apocalypse.
-
Is this while in ground combat or the equip screen?
Ground combat Sathra. I say, swap a rifle for a grenade and I hear the tank.

Yeah, my badge is really a platinum, gold, 5 star with sequins, but I guess I will have to make do with a standard pre order one.

Desura does clang, bang and rattle about a bit but it's a great tool to allow indie developers to get their games out to the public, the only other alternative is to use those crooks that go by the name of paypal.
-
50% of the time when I move things around in the inventory I get the sound of the tank moving.

Yeah, I miss those old manuals and books too. Still got a few lying around that I read every so often.
After buying a new game the first thing I would do was snatch the manual from the box and make a B-line for the toilet.

My all time greats. What I can remember anyway.
UFO Enemy Unknown
Terror from the Deep
X-Com Apocalypse.
Elite.
Hired guns.
Lords of Midnight.
Phantasie.
Dungeon master.
Carrier command.
Battle Isle.
The Hobbit.
Silent service.
Boulderdash.
Laser Squad.

The "new" X-Com is an utterly and disrespectful abomination that insults the X-Com name and drags it's X-Com "one of the best games EVER" awesomeness into the FPS mud that has taken over the game industry.
Just for that i hope that 2K Marin go bankrupt soon and that the guy/s that had the "brilliant" idea of making an FPS X-Com die an horrible death.
That is all
^^THIS^^
This is one of those games that if forced to play, you would not be able to stay awake for more than 2 minutes. The new Xcom -fps is one large steaming pile of .......... They need shooting for this.

I won't disturb him while he is getting things sorted for the big update. If, when he has time and knows of a way, maybe he could add the info to this sticky

Since the original UFO/X-com series there have been dozens of remake of one form or another, a few were allright-ish but most were bloody awful.
I guess to keep those bits that made the originals great, and add those things that the originals lacked, is a very fine balancing act, and I would imagine a hell of a lot of work. But if it can be nailed down then there will be a lot of very happy gamers out there.

Yeah, I have often thought about this, and have come up with some pretty colourful answers.
But if the truth be know the reason is simply to occupy our council houses. Aliens dream of owning their own council property which they may abuse at their leisure.

They've already been removed for Build V8 I'm afraid. At the Expo people seemed to think they were loading screens and would spend ten minutes looking at them in puzzlement until I gently urged them to click the mouse...
I was one of these people. I just sat there waiting for something to happen.

I believe that getting attached to your soldiers or npc's is one of the secret ingredients that help make a game incredibly addictive.

Are there any plans to make the GUI sizeable? At the moment it is pretty tiny on my 24" widescreen.

This one looks amazing, and should bring back many happy memory's.

Hi fellow squishy things.
I originate from Manchester UK. I am new to Xenonauts but a lifelong addict of ufo/xcom games. I think I must have tried every clone of its type, but for one reason or another they all fell flat at one point or another.
I am putting a lot of hope into Xenonauts, that this will finally be the one to bring the game into the 21 century and as such would like to wish Chris and his team a shed full of luck.
-
Well, I have played trough a few missions and find that even though the game is still rough around the edges the game play feels great. I predict that Xenonauts is going to be one hot, hot game. Money well spent.
I just hope that this one, some day, actually gets finished.

Save functionality will be incorporated into the next build. See here.
Ah, this is what I was looking for but couldn't find. Cheers iamkyon.
V8 sounds sweet.
-
I was wondering if I am missing something here as nowhere on the forum can I find anything about saving the game, and for the life of me I can't find any save game option in the game.
-
I particularly like the line of sight in Xenonauts. It really works extremely well. Best I have seen to date in this sort of game.

What did I do now!?
I've got 2 badges now?
Edit: Also figured out why I had just the standard one. Really got to read the email properly...
That is so typical. You just had to go one better didn't you?

Huge X-COM fan here. Glad to see this project in the works and I have to say the graphics are impressive. I love the cold war style of graphics, it is something fresh and original. Look forward to seeing the final product!
I am finding the graphics give me that ufo feeling that we all love and remember. Only 2 things I have seen that don't seem quite right and they are...
The shots don't seem to fly at the right angles.
The aliens look to much like hoodies wearing tracksuit bottoms. Saying that, maybe aliens really do look like hoodies wearing tracksuit bottoms.
Blue aliens.

Thanks. It would have been obvious if the alien was lying down, but being on his feet and blue, I was thinking 'BUG'
In game, has anyone ever come across THIS MAP?
