Well they have that right. I wouldn't touch that Xcom ***** with a very long barge pole. The trailers were enough to make me fall into a deep sleep.

I know it's a daft question but where do I find the screen shots I have saved?

Just had an alien shoot through the UFO door at one of my troopers that walked up to it. Hadn't opened the door.
This was happening to me before the latest update. Sometimes they shoot right through it and the next shot bounces off, pretty messed up.

Love.
Animation: The animation is really cool, both for your soldiers and the aliens. Soldiers especially feel as if you are controlling a person and not a robot.
Sound effects: Great sound effects, I would go as far as to say they are near perfect. The aliens sound sooo alien it gives you the creeps.
Interceptors: I love the new way in which the interceptor part of the game functions, it really beats all of the sorry efforts other games of this type have to offer.
Immersion: It speaks for it's self, when even at this early stage in the games development it can grab you by the b******s and will not let go.
Artwork: The artwork is really nice and fits the era perfectly.
Hate.
How I cannot play the full game yet, but I can wait.
Dirty, smelly, horrible bugs. I want them dead.

Well, it was a rough start but we got there in the end. This is what I am talking about, all previous bugs squashed and absolutely superb game play Chris. Very well done.

Always tried to hold back enough AP for a burst of fire on enemy sighted, if the trooper has enough XP for the job that is.

Strange I have no update and am stuck with barren maps. Anyone else?

Yep, same thing. Let's look on the bright side, the aliens are easy to spot on these new maps.

Within the first 10 minutes of game play I usually find a load of bugs, some of which are glaring smack-you-in-the-face bugs. So I have to ask, do these builds undergo any sort of testing before they are released onto the public?

Frequent crash's (xenonauts.exe has stopped working). Could be when you change weapon when a alien is in sight.

The door at the rear of the alien craft, on the right hand side cannot be opened.
Also
Grenade graphic becomes corrupt when placed in your hand.

We've uploaded the fix now - it's just a question of when Desura authorise it. Hopefully it'll be in the next few hours (shouldn't be a repeat of the v8.2 fiasco as it's Monday tomorrow).
Now that's what I call service.

Yes, we'll release a special update just for this. Bit of a biggie. You can still play the ground combat by going to the game install location and running the Xenonauts.exe - groundcombat.bat file, if you really need to scratch the itch in the next 24 hours.
Thanks. I tried that and it crashed when I tried to throw a grenade. Looks like the gremlins have struck again.

Yeah, it sort of gives you very little to test doesn't it? I'm sure it will soon get fixed.

Thanks Chris, but one minute into the game I find the Chinook won't launch to the crash site, so I guess that is that until next update.

Man I'm so torn about this! I desperately want to try the game, but I really don't want to spoil my fun for the final version, I want it all to be new and exciting How are you guys handling it?
I love to play each build and watch it grow.

I don't think Premium customers have anything to complain about. Look at me, I am reduced to having a old tarnished pre-order tin badge, but you don't catch me complaining.

I think I own and have played every x-com/ufo clone out there, and I can say without any shadow of a doubt Xenonauts is the best to date. It's a dream to play even with the bugs, and I believe when it is finished it is going to be the number one in it's class.

Yeah, it would be a good thing. It wears a bit when every time you find a bug you have to search through every thread to see if it has already been reported. Also it must make Chris's job a lot easier.

Could we not have a collective bug thread to save us reporting the same bugs over and over.
It could then be kept up to date by it's author.
Marked red: Bug, reported but not yet dealt with.
Orange: Bug confirmed and being worked on.
Green: Bug reported and fixed.

2 - As Sathra says, it's the left side of the main hub of the alien ship, around the middle section.
3 - Crash on exiting game from game menu.
Crash 2, happens after loading a saved game were my Chinook is returning from a mission after 2 fatalitys. There is also a second crash site marked on the map. Once the Chinook lands, bang, shazzam, clang, kaboooooom, my game crashes with a Xenonauts.exe has stopped working error.
Is this really what I think it is.
