They haven't authorised it as they were confused that it said Kickstarter Build and had references to the demo in it. I've given them the go-ahead to do it now. Let's hope they do it soon.
Dock them a weeks wage and they won't do it again.
I don't know, you just can't get good service any more, I blame mobile phones.

I hate Desura. It is as slow as steam when it comes to patching or updating. I remember the good old days, were you just downloaded a patch.

Also, he hasn't got a shiny GOLD medallion.
Poor, poor Moonie.
I happen to prefer silver over gold.
I could try to do something with those pictures Jean-Luc, but they are low-rez. I will keep looking.
Where have all the artists gone? When I was a lad you got 20 artists on every forum.

Funny, I was expecting the old run up to alien, kill alien, mission complete routine. That is why on my first run-through of V9.4 I lost all of my squad. Lav it.

In general, people will tolerate 1001 bugs, especially through alpha and beta, but what does p**s people off are bugs that say 'game over'.
If you can keep clear of those type of bugs, where ever possible, then you should be laughing all the way to the bank with this game.
Been playing a few more games, I really like it. It looks like Xenonauts has finally escaped from it's cot, and now means business.

Is it at all similar to Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising?
Yeah, Hostile waters was copying Carrier command while adding a few of their own elements into the mix, like characters with personality's, were as the units in Carrier command were remote controlled from your carrier, you were the only human on-board.
I have been waiting for a remake of Carrier command for years, and now it's finally arrived,

It has a Strategic part which is faithful to the original and a campaign part, that is like a fps with troops, walruses and mantas. The beta only has the strategic part of the game which suits me as that is the part that I am interested in.

Anyone made, are thinking of making a nice Xenonauts wallpaper 1920 x 1080 if possible?
I have had a look around and have not seen anything suitable.
-
X-com and Xenonauts both start with the letter 'X' which is a dead give-away.
-
The .exe crash bug, seems to have been squashed, I have not had that one for a while now.
I tell you what Chris, if you can fix the AI freeze, then this demo is going to produce a amazing amount of interest.

There is going to be one heck of a x-com war at the end of this year, and it looks like Xenonauts will be in the running.
-
I had Avast ask to run xenonauts.exe in sandbox mode as a potential threat.

Soldiers meld into the side of the Chinook when exiting side doors.
Soldier leaping over obstacles always shows legs on one side of the wall, looks as if he is to knacked to make the jump.
Soldiers second shot on the same move shows no animation.
-
4 guys were stood around my tank looking in all directions. After the round my tank had been blown up. That movement should have been seen by all.

Very nice, I love the terror site. Quite a few bugs that I will be reporting, but it's getting there, not only that but it lasted 13 minutes before it froze on me, thing's are definitely looking up.

Carrier command Gaea missions (remake of the 1988 classic) . You can now buy into the beta for £16. I did and I can tell you, that even in beta this game is awesome in the extreme.

I ran out, or nearly ran out of ammo many, many times. I would so miss that satisfying click on reload.
-
I'm not so sure if it's that easy. I have not noticed that bug up until now, in neither version. Maybe I play to little.
Yeah, figures. It's my luck you see? The killer bugs always show their faces to me at the very first chance they get. 5 maybe 10 minutes on a good day and that's my lot.
-
Something that could have been avoided by a quick test before release.
-
At first, I thought "well, maybe they're modernizing the game for good", but it really seems it's getting butchered, just as all the good old stuff these days.
That's right. Just the fact there is going to be no ammo is enough to kill it stone dead, never mind all the other changes they are making.
The one good thing is that Chris doesn't have to worry about getting jumped on anymore. Looks like this game is the only pony in the race that still has 4 legs.
-
You know, the more I read and watch stuff about this game the more I am certain they are going to totally ruin this franchises.

Hi
9.31 is looking really promising.
Oh yes, it looks bloody fantastic, and one day I will get to play the farm map, one day.
I was so close I could smell the hay, and then a bloody alien had to go and use its bloody AI didn't it? *&%£*ard

It is just a couple of the bugs are annoyingly easy to find
Okay, your employed. How soon before you can have a working version out?
I know that bugs are to be expected in a alpha, and I also know that a game like this is not a easy task to make.
What does niggle me is, all he has to do to prevent wasting everybody's time on a dud release is play it for 30 minutes himself, or get someone to play it for him for 30 minutes. That's all it takes 30 minutes to detect all of the show stoppers.

Testing and finding bugs is actually the main raison d'etre of these builds. By choosing to play these early releases you submit yourself to being a faux game tester.
Of course, but you need to be able to play it to find those illusive bugs. Also it's does not make for good word-of-mouth recommendation. when all that you can say about the game, when asked, is that you don't know what the game is like because it always crashes or freezes.

Terror mission complete, with no freeze or crashes.
Lots of little bugs, mainly to do with tiles or animation, but I have to tell you.........
What a brilliant ******* game I had.
