Holy ****; a 4.5 gig download. This has to be Skyrim II. I hope you patch it via dropbox, or I'm going to have to upgrade my bandwidth.
Can't wait to test this baby *prays for a stable version*
What! version 18.1 already? Quick work Chris.

Better late than bugged I say. Happy Christmas everybody.
-
I think the big question on everyone's mind is, will we have a new build to plonk about with over Christmas?
-
Well I'm sick of that other game. It's dog-poo, so nothing now stands in the way of this; the new xcom baby.
-
Not been able to play to much yet, but up to now, no crash's.
-
Go for it Chris, squash those filthy bugs, let us at the game.
Me happy.
-
I was worried that there might not be a stand alone ready, but there is. Cheers Chris.
-
I have gone and installed 161_V2, so I can't use this patch on my can I?
-
I started off with a gold badge but Chris demoted me.
Welcome Ubermensch.
-
Oh no, it's one of those illusive bugs that cannot be found but is usually there, right under your nose.
Best get a move on, there is a lot of rage going on over at the xcom-eu hq. Looks like we maybe having a lot of new followers heading this way.

I have decided to dump the Desura installer and stick with the stand alone from now on. Desura is to much of a pain.
-
Your the man tass. Never has Xenonauts been so painlessly updated. Here's hoping that Chris can get the hang of it.
-
I'm just glad to help ... and will happily build them as I can.
I'm typing it all up for Chris & co so they can do it too...
I'll take a ThankYou and named Character/Alien anyday
Sure thing tass.
I name you in the name of everything UFOie. [sir Character Alien Anyday 1st class.]

Hello folks, I have a binary patch that will take you from V16 to V16.1 , and is only 45MB in size!.
This is for Windows ONLY and is 100% not official or supported, but with those caveats Chris has no objections to my sharing. I have used this for my own system, both at home and at work (:

Grab the V16_to_V161.exe binary , doubleclick and follow the prompts. There are MD5 checksums there as well for the paranoid.
Hopefully this works for Windows folks, but i'll try to help as I can.
It worked a treat, thanks tass.
You can now be the official hot-fix distributor, Chis will pay you £500 for every download.

Moonie - Dropbox very much give a damn how you use it, unfortunately. I had my (Premium) account suspended for using it for public downloads.
Holy cow, I thought that was the whole point of dropbox, so that you could share your files with the public. How about google drive, I use that and it's pretty good.
-
Might be prohibitly expensive to pay for the bandwith. They take a dim view of such uses for free accounts.
Both dropbox and google drive, have 5gig storage FREE, and they don't give a darn how you use it. That's plenty for a few hotfix files.
We then simply drop them into our game folders, job done.
-
I have a suggestion.
Why not do the main updates through Desura, but drop any updated/patched files into dropbox.
That would make hotfixes so easy to acquire.
-
For those curious about Steam, I did check with them and their position is still that they'll only sell the game when it goes gold (ie. when it's finished).
I guess you have to know someone who knows someone, because there are many beta and some even alpha games that are, and have been sold on Steam.
I don't know the what's and why's but Steam might be full of ****
-
We need someone to blame, if not Desura then who?
*XenoMask holds up his quivering hand*
Okay lads, let's get him.
-
What a way to run a business hu?
-
Looking forward to when Xenonauts goes over to steam, and there is no more of this Desura nonsense.
-
DESURA has poo on it's face....b******s
Sorry.
-
What is the point of the steam Xeno?

...why does that armor remind me of Mass Effect...?
And the music is pretty close to Mass effects as well.
I don't know about you guys but I am getting a bit fed up with it now. it's getting kind of repetitive.

Wow!! It's been a long time since I have played, and have to say the game is really coming on nicely. I love it.
