I have the same issue here. Constantly crashing whenever I try to kill an alien. Barred from playing which sucks because the first few missions were quit fun. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Must be something else then on my system. Still keep constantly crashing when I kill any of the aliens in my current alien base assault mission.

Sorry I am not that good with moddifying files. Could you explain a little bit more detailed what you copied pasted? Have seen the folders and files in them at that location and the sprite file. But is it enough to simply rename the sprite file and copy it into all subfolders of the sibellian aliens or do i need to modify the sprite file itself too?

I got an alien base which I assaulted. It seems the alien base is missing its map layout because I was just dropped in a big room of grey tiles. After that I shot some aliens (the grey slender ones) that were visible. After a while no new aliens were visible. After getting out from the start a little bit more I saw around 10 aliens (or better I did not see them only their markers). If I shoot at them I hear the sound of them being hit and then the game crashes immediatly. That is one annoying bug since it completly stopped me from playing on. Any way to remedy that problem? There seem to be some graphics/animations missing especially the alien dying and the alien being hit animation which probably cause the crash.
