  1. Isn't the point that its so so so fast it basically just does a drive-by?
  2. Seems to be abit Random, I only get the Teleporty ones in Alien bases and terror missions. not seen a Reaper still though, which is good because their ability to steal troops is far too powerful at present.
  3. Hello, so I've got to the endgame on this Build, on the final mission I have killed every Alien I can see, and I managed to do the Preator in one shot from a Mag Sniper. (should he/it not be a lot harder) anyhow, the door after him leads to nowhere, I can't find any more aliens on this ship at all so I can't progress. Not sure if this is intentional at present or not. on another note, one of the Fury's I built has - fuel which keeps getting lower and lower. I transferred it from my production base to another one and it keeps getting lower, (e.g. -100, -160, etc its now about -1000)
  4. So I was just wondering, the Electroshock Grenade is meant to work on both organic and Inorganic aliens? I've never been able to stun any of the robo aliens and also I've only ever been able to stun a Ceasan Commander never anything else, not sure if its a bug or they are purposely immune for now? got 6 nade hits on a Sebillian commander in one turn, he was still alive and ran off. also just a thought, when you have an alien you want to capture, there's nothing more stressful than the reaction fire hitting or almost hitting them, do we not think there should be a way to mark that target so they don't get accidentally killed
  5. I've seen one lot, they were in my first alien base, I think there were 3 of them, other than that I've not seen them again. same with the teleporty aliens ( I forget the name) I have seen them twice
  6. also being that its "assault Armour" implies it to me that it would be used for people in assault not support roles, e.g. shotguns, rifles and carbines. not snipers and other support classes

Right so I thought the TU cheat and off map shooting was bad on small ufo runs, and then Dakar just got invaded (which i thought was a little early anyway) so I start with a visual on two hostiles anyway, moving out of the ship I suppress them both, only to be hit from from the dark with 3 bursts of what i assume is plasma rifle from various points on the map, killing two of my guys and blowing up my Scout, one of the aliens I suppressed then does the same thing, killing another and suppressing another two. lets just say the remaining team members died the following turn.... out of curiosity whats the difference in sight range between humans and aliens (I'm guessing this varies between different species??) but it seems to me that humans have say a sight range of 10 and aliens have a range of about 30 or something crazy.
  9. I noticed this through the ship, all my dudes went out to the north and the east and I was being shot from someone miles away, then on the alien turn from what seemed to be the corner of the map plasma kept flying, all the way down and hitting the ship

Hi all, been a while since I tried Xenonauts, been a bit busy in RL, anyway so i downloaded the new steam version and had a bash. and I don't know if its just me not being used to the latest version, but I noticed a few things. Firstly Aliens can fire from epic, Epic ranges. I'm talking about 2-3 turns movement range away. (also seems like xenonauts sight range has been reduced?) secondly they seem to have mad amounts of AP. I watched a suppressed alien fire 3-4 shots and KO a guy. Thirdly seems like their Damage and Accuracy has increased a fair bit? other than that everything I've seen seems a looks more positive and it looks like the team have made some great moves forward.

  13. Thanks for the info! yea I was just curious, I guess it could be a few things! the no UFO's if no base present, would probably be the best at the start, but who can say!
