Where is the second me?
-
Saw it coming a mile away.
My shield was damaged, I had low HP and you bunched us up so close to the aliens. Smoke was useless against sebs anyway.
In situations like those, spamming stun gas is the best solution. Or missiles.
-
And if TrashMan snuffs it...
Hm..the replacment.... Exterminatus. Waste Disposal. Anal Probe. Phoenix. Or TrashMan Mk2.

Final stats:

FINALE:

Fend, make me a commando. Rifle, shotty (1 extra mag for each) and a few nades.

Operation Endgame is a go.
We launched a final assault on the alien dreadnought in an attempt to assasinate the High Preator.
It was a one-way ticket... unless we destroy the two power cores, which will trigger the emergency protocol and enable escape pods. But those cores are defended and require a de-tour. And reapers from the lower decks are coming.
I recorded the mission, but the game crashed at the very end, after the result screen.
It seems to have messed up the recording, so I might have to re-do the mission. Trying to covnert the footage now and see if it will play.

Part 54 & 55:

If I may suggest something. Tweaking a game file - the gameconfig.ini.
the refueling and rearming takes ages.
b.t.w. - for a solider to get ACC in a mission, he has to take a shot at an alien.
It doesn't matter if it's an impossible shot or if it doesn't hit. Keep that in mind.
Also keep in mind that shield guys are basically grenadiers, since pistols are wimpy.
Assaults all the way.
-
We attacked a battleship and won with no casualties.
Will post a video of it tomorrow.
Next stop - OPERATION ENDGAME.

Part 53:

Still too small:
Virus bomb the living s**** out of the planet.

Part 49:
Part 50 and 51:
The most dangerous terror mission yet.

Duplicate?
Commisar, you're thinking to small.
The greenskins are right about one thing. There's no kill like overkill!
-
You shuld really focus on combat armor ASAP. Jackal is cheap and reasonably effective at keeping people alive.
Darkwombat - you survived a C4 exploding in your hand.
Also Fends, you should really edit gameconfig.xml and set the precentage of female soldiers to whatever value you fancy. I keep mine at 10%
Lastly blocking your own people by stopping at the top of the stairs - bad move. You always have to take into acount that a soldier may fail and thus another might have to run in for help.
That means keeping them close and keeping an approach open. for example - you should have parked MSV knight at the bottom of hte stairs. Even if the alien killed the shield guy, he wouldnt' have enough TU's left to threaten MSV knight, who would have more TU's available since he's have a smaller distance to cross.
EDIT: You should also edit items.xml and increase the value of allenium. It's utterly redicolous that the most valubale material on earth can't even pay for a single soldier!

I'm not concerned with the name. It doesn't matter in the big picture.
Part 46: enemy carriers inbound!

Brothers! I'm facing a quandry!
I have been fireing my assault cannon (a.k.a. high-caliber minigun) on some DIRTY HERETICS and then I realised I had to stop shooting because it was runing hot. The barrles were glowing white from the sheer intensity of heat.
How do you deal with such a problem?

A feature to re-name a base should really be in.
I?m not sure if I'll upgrade to 0.28 just yet. There are 3 mods to consider, one of which is applied the old way - overwriting core files
-
Part 43:
Part 44 and 45:
More Xenonaut casualties, but another alien base down.
-
So....we discovered the alien base and attacked it. It was a big base. We lost one brave soul...and he died the most horrible way (reaper).
Part 41:
Part 42:
-
In short - more modability and variety for our allies in missions.
Long explanation?
- Options to set up multiple sodier types, with different stats. Kinda like oyu have a Ceasian non-combatant, Cesian guard, Cesian Warrior, Cesian elite, so it would be a good thing to set up human civilian(s), basic human soldier, human veteran, human elite, etc...
Weapons are still handled the same way, upgraded with the ticker.
Possibly upgrading armor the similar way (but not chaning the sprite) So just basically adding 10-20 armor for all allied soldiers once the ticker reaches X, similar to how they upgrade weapons?
It BEGINS...AGAIN!
