Yeah. The pool refreshes weekly right?
[*]Soldier Hire: When you hire a soldier, you can now pick from a pool of 12 possible soldiers which is refreshed as you hire troops. This allows you to pick a soldier that suits the role you are hiring them for - though fired troops go back in the soldier pool to prevent mass hire / fire soldier cherry picking.
I'm also finding that the pool doesn't refresh as you hire soldiers. Firing works as intended tho.

I'm a couple of weeks into a game and I can't hire soldiers. But when I start a new game I can.

As far as I can tell, the ONLY time I can't load a save is when there's a downed UFO. If there's a downed UFO on the geoscape, the save makes the game CTD. Otherwise, things seem to load fine.
Just tested it and yeah, doesn't load when there are crashed UFOs.

Some of my saves and autosaves work and the the others cause crashes.

I think suppression is overkill at the moment. It would be nice if it just enemies from reaction firing. And It's annoying when suppress team mates who standing to close the shooter.

Xenonauts are trained pilots, just like xcom.

Facing right, down and diagonally right-down. Don't know about the rest although I suspect its in all directions.
Haven't we had this bug with pretty much every alien?

At a crash site (scout on the industrial map), I had one walk thru a wall, and a another walk pass one of guys (who had a shotgun) out the open. I attempted to shoot him at point blank range and it crashes. Even tho my soldier was standing next to the Sebillan (out of his LOS as well), I had a 0% chance to hit him.

They use caesar non-combatant sprites. This was during a quick battle.

I shot the MG twice at a crouching caesar (had suppressed him for 2 turns before) and it got out the game

Will bleeding make it into the next build? And are alien special abilities in?

Maybe xenonauts that move and are bleeding can leave behind a trail of blood so that it's a bit harder to miss.
Will aliens bleed out as well? They didn't in the original.

The notifications of bleeding soldiers would be kinda annoying.. I'd propose notification "Soldier X suffered critical hit, has Y bleeding wounds" and then just simple blood drop icon (with a number next to it to indicate count of bleeding wounds) on the soldier's portrait when you click on him.
I would think that the message only comes up once, in your turn after it happens or when your guy gets hit by reaction fire that causes a fatal wound.
And yeah I'm calling them fatal wounds, because for me they were usually fatal.

The AI is going to be improved later. You're just going to have to put up with brain dead aliens for a little while.

I think bleeding or fatal wounds as they were called UFO, should be done at the the start of the turn. Get all the messages out of the way at the beginning of the turn. The system doesn't look to bad, tho I think there should be a higher chance of getting a fatal wound and reducing damage per to -1.

UFOs don't land because they're bugged.

WoW special abilities = magic suppressive fire that pins alien in place that cannot do damage. Gamey stuff like that.

Its set in some fantasy made up place but who cares when you can chop up and mash people with a pretty badass weaponry. And there's objectives like village raids (burn down the village, kill peasants etc) castle/fort assaults. But, most importantly, is the extremely deep close combat.
I do not believe there will be single player campaign, since its designed to be a multiplayer game but you can have battle against and with bots. And its still in alpha too. And they won't let me give them money because theres no pre ordering yet

OK moar info: I loaded my new game where I could recruit new soldiers (although the pool doesn't refresh), I then loaded my other game where I can't recruit soldiers, but now I can. It is using the same pool for both games.
